I have decided to withdraw my work from the Buddy community due to the shit attitude of one particular Mod on the forums. I apologise to all who used/wanted to use my work, but it's not worth it when the people who are here to keep the peace do nothing except for insult those who try to provide free services.

CodenameG has what I think is an extremely poor attitude to people trying to self educate themselves on the workings of the bot. I am not the only person who I have seen him do this to, and I don't want to be part of a community that sees this as appropriate behavior for a mod.

I do not wish anyone to take over this project, and I do not give permission for others to use my code.

Not fully yet, but it's getting there.

 

The server compile instructions are now up - using a .bat file and the compiler included with .NET framework it should be "relatively" foolproof.

I do, but at this stage I'm not going to release it, as it has the server in it as a .exe - I need to get clarification from the mods as to the forum rules and posting links to .exe files.

 

Yes, just run the server on the same pc as the bots, make sure you configure the IP address in the bot configs, if you leave it blank, it will use localhost (untested atm, I will test later today).

 

Just updated the first post with port information, this uses port 1340, so you might need to open it up on your firewall.

 

As a multiboxer, I'm very interested in this. Will test as soon as I can on a new server. Excellent contribution! Thanks!

 

I know 20 downloads isn't a lot, but can I have some feedback - if it's all working great for those that have downloaded it, I'd like to know, just like I'd like to know if it's got bugs.

Is it possible to use this while botting both leader and follower accounts? I mean without human interaction at all? It would be very nice if it could hand in quests while party leader and follower are close enough to get x3 exp bonus.

 

Currently no, I do plan to do this in the future, but for now, the leader has to be hand played (combat will be handled by the bot, but nothing else).

As I have very limited time to devote to development, I can't provide even a rough ETA on when this will be complete, but it is more likely to be next year than this year.
