Before I reformatted, I had my WoW's down to less than 150,000kb of RAM usage per process

Now it is 250,000 - 400,000kb of usage per WoW and gets very slow at about 5 WoWs open.

Which fixes are there to reduce it lower than the minimum and etc etc? as I must have had some tweaks to reduce RAM usage and dont since i reformatted everything

      Thanks

      EDIT:

So far i am using the following:

      ALL Settings to low
      /console maxfps 10

Might be that 2 years before it was 150, but actually i do not see any chance to go down less 250

Disable *all* addons, turn your graphics all the way down. That's what consumes memory in WoW. maxfps/maxfpsbk has nothing to do with the memory.

Don't know how much this will effect the RAM used, but this should help the graphics card rendering the game a little easier depending on the macro used.

Create a macro in game and paste one of the following (copy and pasted from elsewhere on the internet!):

      Code:
      /say detail: high
      /console farclip 777
      /console horizonfarclip 6226
      /console groundeffectdensity 256
      /console groundeffectdist 140
      /console smallcull 0
      /console skycloudlod 3
      /console characterambient 1
      /console detailDoodadAlpha 100
      Code:
      /say detail: medium
      /console groundEffectDensity 136
      /console groundEffectDist 70
      /console horizonfarclip 3765
      /console farclip 477
      /console characterAmbient 0.3
      /console smallcull 1
      /console skycloudlod 2
      /console detailDoodadAlpha 1
      Code:
      /say detail: low
      /console groundEffectDensity 16
      /console groundEffectDist 1
      /console horizonfarclip 1305
      /console farclip 177
      /console characterAmbient
      /console smallcull 1
      /console skycloudlod 1
      /console detailDoodadAlpha 1

WoW's memory usage will vary allot depending on where your character is in game. If you're in a high populated area like dalaran it'll grow really big from caching all the textures, items, etx, and it keep growing as your character moves from place to place as it caches new textures and what not.

I played with this util called maxmem http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/System/maxmem/Freeware.htm
It can greatly reduce the memory usages from WoW. This program runs in the background and will attempt to free memory after system memory usage reaches a defined threshold.
There are modes, Minimum, Periodic and Aggressive. Aggressive recovers the most memory but it can slow down some old systems while its clearing memory and sometimes causes instability in any running programs, even leading up to crashes thus I would recommend using the other modes, or change aggressive mode to not try as hard to clear memory

The usage slowly goes up while wow is open, so if you occasionally restart WoW that should help.

Well.. ther is a "way" to reduce the ram usage even with extended run time.

But if you run a lot of clients, you'll need some "FAST" hard drive, cause it will be reading memory like crazy.

The way i'm talking about is a little app called "Cleanmem" , it cleans the cached memory every xx minutes.
you can set the time to whatever you want, 5-10 minutes is the best to keep the clients usage below 200mb per client.
But as i said, you better have a fast harddrive if you got a lot of clients going.

the "way" to get it down to so low is to simply use:

      /console maxfps 10
      /console maxfpsbk 10

      use the low settings
use the lowest resolution, and then shrink it
adjust your video properties/drivers to low, turn off the eye candy, etc
you can also try the above said "low" macro

I can run 10 accts in northrend (gb or hb) just fine on 4gb ram in win 7

cleanmem and gbooster (i think thats what they're called) work great too :)

5+ accounts at one time on a machine = fail even with raptor UNLESS you go SSD. so unless your running wow and OS off a ssd then dont worry about Ram useage considering under 3 accounts @ 4gb or 5-6 accoutns at 8gb.

As for people asking how I get each WoW to use only 150 megs of ram

      - NO Addons (nothing)
      - Complete minimum settings

Simpler than it sounds however I doubt it will work on all machines
