      Ensure that you have the most UPDATED RELEASE of Honorbuddy.




      Installation with the ZIP is preferred.
      If you are not computer savvy, then extract the contents of the ZIP folder to a folder on your desktop.

      Microsoft C++ Redistribution packages, .NET Framework, and DirectX runtime libraries.

      You MUST have these packages installed, no questions. If the problem persists then you ought to uninstall the listed packages and install again. It is a proven case that 99.998% of the issues users report are because the packages are NOT installed or a CORRUPT installation.
      **If you have earlier versions (ie. 2008, 2005, 2004, etc..) DO NOT remove them, as your system may require them. Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and 2012 is all you need to worry about.

      The ONLY packages HONORBUDDY utilizes are Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and 2012, and .NET 4.0, 4.5.


      1. Microsoft C++ Redistribution packages: (required)


        C++ 2010 (x86)
        C++ 2010 (x64) ---- Install C++ 2010 (x86) PRIOR to installing this!!
        C++ 2012 (Update 3)


      2. Microsoft .NET (Offline) Installers: (required)

        *** use the .net cleanup tool to remove previous versions. ***
        .NET Framework 4 (Standalone Installer)
        .NET Framework 4.5 Offline installer ? multi-language

      Make sure both Microsoft DirectX runtime libraries and GPU drivers are up to date.

      1. Microsoft DirectX Runtime libraries:

        DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime
        DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)

      Connection and/or Authentication issues

      1. Session errors
        • Abrupt disconnects from the authentication server.
        • Opening and Closing Honorbuddy continuously. (Give it time for the session to close).
        • Network congestion, can also be an issue, which causes slow package transfer rates.

        To alleviate any of these, follow this guide Tony wrote up and create a buddyauth account to close your Honorbuddy session(s).

        If closing your connection from buddyauth does not resolve your issue, then you may need to flush your local DNS table and reset your hosts file.
        **Validate that your Antivirus or Firewall is not blocking Honorbuddy, validate their settings or disable them. If Honorbuddy works, then you may need to validate if your Antivirus or Firewall is blocking Honorbuddy, if not, create a rule to allow communications.

      There is sufficient help on the forums if you utilize it, if you have a question and in doubt, SEARCH first.
      You are better off searching for the issue, than waiting for someone to get back to you; though, help is always available. I'm just suggesting alternatives that will help. All issues can be remedied if you pay close attention to your situation and follow through what is asked of you. If you do not do your research, you will NEVER learn!

      Post a FULL, and MOST RECENT, LOG to report any issue(s) you may have with Honorbuddy.
      You will not receive help without it.
