Hello, Recently i have noticed one of my Honorbuddy crashes whilst running. I run two on the same computer and it has never happened until the last two updates. Can anyone help me as to why it is occurring? Here is the log file.
click settings and tools, and under the mounts section, turn off Random and Automatic for mount picking. then in the boxes type in the names of the mounts you want to use. try and stay away from flying clouds and traveler tundra mounts. once you have that set, try it again and see if it still crashes out.
Thanks for the reply. I changed the options suggested, went away to eat dinner came back and one of them had crashed again (seems to crash when teleporting to Pandaria - game does not crash i just get logged off after being idle) Log file attached.
Changed to DX9, however still crashes when porting from org to pandaria running ProfessionBuddy. Not sure why. I tested with only one account this time. Edit: just updated ProfessionBuddy hoping that will fix the crash.
it seemed like even though it was tossing some errors, it still did complete what it was going to do was that not the case?
Honorbuddy freezes (have to task bar to kill the process), and my toon logs out next to the Pandaria portal for being idle. Doing a test run now, my ProfessionBuddy was one revision behind.
Still had the same problem, all is well for one cycle, it ports out from org to pandaria and starts its route for 30-50mins, hearths back, switches to alt auctions ores/herbs - now after it ports from org to pandaria the second time, HB/PB freezes.
Hi, Syntaxtc, The symptoms you describe are a classic fingerprint of a (memory) hardware or 'chipset' driver problem. Please follow the remedy listed here. I know its painful, but we must eliminate the hardware as the problem. cheers, chinajade
BIOS updated to latest version Graphics drivers updated to latest version Windows Updates are up to date I am holding off on the memory testing for now, this laptop is fairly new (2months old - ofcourse it still could have hardware problems though.) Hopefully updating drivers will fix the problem, but i have a suspicion it will not, mainly because HB was running fine up until 5.2. Waiting for the new release to test how it went, i will also try it with HB Beta which i haven't tested yet.
there is a new release out now, you can grab it here. http://www.thebuddyforum.com/releases/110881-honorbuddy-2-5-6914-551-a.html just keep in mind though, hardware can fail at anytime. i bought a new upgrade kit for my laptop, 8gb of ram, and 3 months later i started having weird crashes, and bluescreens, (it would happen even sooner if i was playing games) turns out a stick of ram went bad, so it can and does happen.
Hi again, Syntaxtc, NOT SO FAST! Please, tell us what was your repair, so we know when helping others in the future. Also, very glad you are off-and-away! cheers, chinajade
I basically updated my BIOS version (which was 9months out of date) My graphic card driver was also 2months of out date I also ran windows updates critical and non critical ones. I also followed what was displayed earlier in the thread, which was to use DX9 instead of DX11, and turned off Automatic and Random for mounting. Come today both bots are running perfectly and professionbuddy is doing what it usually does!
Update: I spoke too soon, the bot runs as normal when running one HonorBuddy, soon as the second one is running, on that first cycle -> hearth -> mail to alt -> switch to alt -> auction -> switch to farmer -> fly to pandaria portal -> HB crash once at Jade Forest. The HB that was running first continues as normal but the second one crashes until i kill the process. Ill try the memory test tomorrow.
Ran the memory test with no errors so i assume everything is working well. Here is the image: What else might be the issue?
post a new log so we can check it, its possible the issue moved since the last time you posted a log.
Here is a log of both bots stopping at around the same time. (Note: I did not hit STOP myself) I am using Mega MOP profile, with ProfessionBuddy. View attachment 5792 2013-03-31 19.40.txt View attachment 4112 2013-03-31 20.34.zip Edit: Another one: View attachment 3680 2013-03-31 21.34.txt
