[N] Mining + Herb Farm in Valley of Four Winds - MASSIVE Yields

I made a mining + herb profile in Valley of the Four Winds. I figure I've been hoarding it to myself for long enough and ought to release it to you guys before Blizz nerfs the spawn rates on Herb/ore. The yield rates so far have been absolutely crazy--higher yields than typical flying mount GB profiles in Cataclysm. I don't have exact yields/hr since Grind Bot does not track this, but I've made easily 25k+ in maybe 10 hours of running this profile. Ore prices will drop and respawn rates for herbs/ore will be nerfed soon, so act now while this still works well.

Great profile for leveling. I've also leveled from 87 -> 88 using just this profile. Each node gives the xp of killing a mob and since there are an insane amount of nodes in the areas, it is (arguably) as fast as grinding. Only thing is, you're making a ton of gold with this profile and it does not appear to be highly trafficked currently (and I'm on a high pop server).

No hostile mobs. Most other grind bot profiles intended for mining + herb are slower because they have to fight mobs and grind bot often times will skip a node if it's still in combat. To prevent this, I've went through a painstaking process of blacklisting all areas that include hostiles so that the Bot does not get stuck up fighting. The hostiles in the area have a tendency to bug out and keep you in combat indefinitely, so it was a real pain in the rear otherwise.

Run in Grind Bot. Maximize looting radius. And you're good to go.

Been running good! A couple deaths due to gankers but thats about it. Settled to about 1.2 mill/hr with 4 deaths, been running for about 45 mins and have roughly 160 ore and 160 herbs.

its working, im wondering if its the best place to farm tho.. jade forest was extremly nice aswell, got a full bag of 50% 50% ghost iron ore / mixed herbs during one night

 

Witch profile did you use in Jade forest?

 

Trying this profile now, working fine with a 85 pala with pvp gear.. gonna run it over night

I am in the Heartland now and it literally just sits there and does nothing, then tells me it can't create a path to the hotspot, and blacklists it...

 

ill try this out as soon as i hit 86 on my farmer

EDIT: using now, just added a vendor to it aswell

 

How did you get it to work. I am an 86 Undead Rogue, can you tell me all your exact settings, and where you started it please? Mine just sits there, like I said before, and dismounts occasionally to get on a different one, from my Skeletal Horse to my Windrider, and then tells me it can't reach the target hotspot, blacklisting for 15 minutes.

Is there any issue with phased areas? or can I just run my bot char to that zone and hit start?

 

I was actually using my grind profile in jade forest, i just switched profile and hit start and its going flawlessly

I didnt do anything but the opening quest for pandaria on my bot char, you're saying that phasing wont effect my gathering? because hand leveling my main it seemed like the zones phased left and right

My bot killed a rare mob, but I didn't have looting on, and didn't see where it happened
I have 9 kills in about 45 minutes, so maybe we should investigate a bit more if the goal is to make it mob-less!

Hi, somehow my bot is around Cavern of Endless Echoes where there are lots of 86 elites. Could you please add them to avoid mobs, and blacklist the area?

Please blackspot this area, just the parts where the 86 elites are.
I advise you get yourself killed, and go to the blackspot(s) in ghost mode, much easier.
