It had been tested a lot, and many people now are happy turtle owners thanks to this profile... It will farm Sholazar Basin area for Nettlefish pools. It will stays for some minutes in each area, then change. The porpouse of this profile is farming the Sea Turtle Mount, unless you need nettlefish for some odd reason (e.g. cooking). This profile probably can be used with any fishing plugin/botbase, such as AutoAngler. This profile can also be used to the Kalu'ak fishing contest. Expect your turtle within 1-3 botting days. Just don't give up. Your turtle will eventually be fished. Turtle can also be fished at cataclysm zones, but Sholazar Basin has far more schools, is less populated, and has lower level mobs. Best place to farm the turtle mount. If you catch your turtle using this profile, +reputation would be appreciated... just click the gray star at the lower left corner of this message. Ive done some looking around, and cant seem to find a drop rate on it. Any clarification on exactly HOW rare of a catch it is?
i have caught it in 10 casts on one of my toons and my other one has still not fished it up after 5000+ casts
Best guess is 1/1000 successfull northrend pool catch. You probably will need to cath between 1000 and 2000 fish within pools to get the mount. Example. Assume the drop rate is 1/1000 for the Sea Turtle. After 500 loots, the chance of seeing at least one Sea Turtle is 39.3%. After 1000 loots, the chance of seeing at least one Sea Turtle is 63.2%. After 2000 loots, the chance of seeing at least one Sea Turtle is 86.5%. After 4000 loots, the chance of seeing at least one Sea Turtle is 98.2%. You can check THIS POST for more info.
Is it binds when picked up? I assume it is so it would be a good idea to get the addon that auto loot Bind when picked up items. Just a guess
I just had the sea turtle drop on an alt fishing in Uldum. Not sure if you saw but in a past patch they changed it to northrend and Cata fishing pools
Nice profile thanks. by the way when the bot is looking when it is in the air, is it like jerky till it finds fish? Just wondering if it is just me or if there is something I can do to change this. Then it did the weirdest thing, im a mage and it ran me to a vendor and bought 4 stacks of food and 4 stacks of drinks. And now nothing again lol
Ran this yesterday for 4 hours or so and then ran it last night again for 4 hours or so. Woke up this morning and the mount was in my bags fairly early on so I'd say it took around 5-6 hours on this profile. Thanks Z!

TY so much! I have not used fishing profiles for ages because i always found that when the bot landed it would get stuck or land in the water but this is PERFECT. I am seriously impressed ! Im going to record how long it takes to get the mount! Also is there any way to see some sort of "report" ?
I'm so gonna use this! Is there a minimum fishing level required to get the turtle? I don't have the skill yet, so would like to know whether to level fishing first or something. EDIT: Just checked and it seems there is no min requirement for this. I'm going to take a break for the godforsaken archaeology sword and get me a turtle. Well report back when I catch it
