THIS WAS A WORK IN PROGRESS I have left wow, and will no longer update it. This is my first real attempt at writing a profile, and as such any constructive criticism is warmly appreciated. it is HORDE only. To use this file there are a few things that must be true. You MUST be hearthed in 2moons, preferrably in the bar upstairs. You MUST have Flying EVERYWHERE. You MUST replace the protected items file in the Honorbuddy folder with the one I provide, or it will sell your cloth. You MUST have unlocked Deepholm and Twilight Highlands portals in Orgrimmar. and a few things that will make it easier for you... You should put any pets away, at least for the low level stuff, and make sure your cc doesnt call them out automatically, since the stuff dies really fast and if your pet kills without you tagging, NO LOOT. You should be using at LEAST 16 slot bags, and they should be EMPTY when you start the profile, except of course for your hearthstone. This will avoid unnecessary trips to the vendor. Set your pull distance to 5 or less, even if you are ranged... this will avoid some of the LOS issues on the farming profile. I am writing this profile mainly so i can learn to write profiles, and learn what they can / cannot do. If you have any ideas /tricks for my code, I am happy to hear them. I will be posting updates as quickly as I can make them. the Cloth farm file goes in: ..Default Profiles\ProfessionBuddy Credits: BPAlpha New his LW/Skinning profile gave me a great starting point for this profile. ChronoAS his code ideas helped with some difficulties i was having.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS CHECK: Protected Items!!! when professionbuddy updates, it will overwrite the protected items xml... i did reorder the order in which they sell, to *maybe* save you the same heartache i just got when it vendored 100 bolts of embersilk that i farmed while testing the farming profile... so now whites sell last, instead of greens. REPOSTING of installation instructions found later in thread: [PB][H] Tailoring 1-600 Farm.xml goes inside: ...\Honorbuddy 2.5.13042.771\Default Profiles\ProfessionBuddy Cloth Farm.xml goes inside: ...\Honorbuddy 2.5.13042.771\Default Profiles\ProfessionBuddy Protected Items.xml goes inside: ...\Honorbuddy 2.5.13042.771 now, the ... at the beginning of each of those signifies that there will be something else before it, but that is different for everyone... for you it may C:\ or C:\Program Files... also, my folder is named "Honorbuddy 2.5.13042.771" but yours may have a diff version number, or no version number, etc. once all the files are in place, log into wow, turn on HB, and from the dropdown menu at the top of the HB window, select Professionbuddy. then click on Bot Config in the left pane, select the profiles tab, and select the [PB][H] Tailoring 1-600 Farm.xml file. click load profile at the bottom of the left pane. close the config window. make sure your toon is in orgrimmar. click Hb's start button. make a sandwich. eat the sandwich while your toon levels tailoring.
Good job mate, keep this updated! I won't use it just yet, because I'm currently leveling my shammy + Jewelcrafting, but I'll have it in mind. Thanks for your work and keep it updated!!!
i love the profession profiles where everything runs automaticly! Go on with your Project, will test it at Weekend on some Horde toons.
me too, and that is the goal with this one... so far, it runs very smoothly... the silk is giving me some grief, i dont really like where it is farming as of right now, i'll prolly come back and change that once it gets able to do all the way to 600 on horde side... what i would REALLY like, is to farm instances for the cloth, but my skillz arent that good yet... once both horde and ally are at 600 and 100% afkable, i'll prolly delve into the instance farming bits.
just updated, silk is up and running, working on mageweave now. *edit* mageweave written, testing now. *edit*
so... i am going to assume that everyone just loves this, and nothing is wrong in the slightest with it... updated to do all the netherweave stuff. tried to implement instance farming for the netherweave, but dungeonbuddy has issues that i cant fix. hopefully someone on the DB team will address my concerns and then i can implement instance farming for the cloth, but until then... this will have to do.
I'll download this and try it with my Mage/Shammy that I'm levelling as my alts... Hopefully it will be SWEEEEEET! Your profile sounds great. If I bump into any glitches, I'll post logs for you. Keep up the good work, you're a fine example of what we really need here
gah, i had an epiphany last nite, when the bot kinda janked on me a bit, leaving me with an odd number of bolts of netherweave.... the good news, is that i know how to fix it, and in the long run it will make the profile cleaner and faster... the downside is that i will be working on it all day, probably, so frostweave will have to wait a bit longer...
Frostweave is up now, i am currently testing it on my guy, so it may have a few glitches yet to be ironed out... This update also includes the ability to buy the pattern needed to finish netherweave, and the protected items.xml has been updated so you dont sell it to vendor before you can use it. I also cleaned up the code ALOT and made it run more smoothly, it now makes bolts of cloth on the fly, instead of hoarding cloth and making the bolts in batches... this allows the bot to have some fault tolerance, if you were to send it cloth or bolts of cloth manually to speed up the process, or if it janks on you in the middle of crafting, leaving you with spare bolts of cloth, like mine did. again, i cant fix problems if they arent reported, please let me know what you think, and tell me if / how it is messing up.
When configuring profession buddy what secondary bot is required? I tried it out, my tailoring is at 375 cap and wanted to see what would happen, so far it is riding on the ground in pandaria.
it should automatically select questing... are you hearthed in 2moons? you are horde, correct? you have the newest version, with the frostweave stuff in it?
I took a year long break, so I am just getting into MoP right now. I don't have a 90 yet, and I won't until January (vacation), but I'll definitely test this out when I have an appropriate Toon to use it on. Thanks for your contribution! Cheers, XtO
