      US Realm

As previously stated, I watch the bot a good majority of the time that it runs for. (I also have an account thats just purely grind botting that wasnt banned.. both running on same computer, and sadly enough both linked to same bnet ID). The only time I did not watch this bot was for on average 6 hours while I sleep in the mornings.. Today when I got up, I milled a bunch of herbs and placed the starlight ink on the AH. With the ink of dreams, I decided to make the BoP shoulder enchants to sell to vendor and not even bother wasting time trying to sell those on the AH. After I was finished making all 394 enchants, I just sold to vendor for roughly 7k~ .. shortly after that, I got logged out and perm banned.. mind you, I have not had any previous bans on this account for the past almost 6~7 years that it has been active, and have been using HB for the past 2 years steady.

I was botting on my main account, and I personally dont care that it was banned. I am however putting in an appeal to attempt to unban it, since there has been no gold trading outside of the main account, and I have been putting money back into the economy from the AH, so hopefully it would show that im not exploiting anything.

My Question to everyone is: Do you think that selling large amounts of "junk" to a vendor each day for roughly 7k-9k gold flags your account for investigation? Unless a GM had tried to talk to me while i was afk, I dont see any other way that could have flagged this account. (Of course there are player reports that might have happened).. but upon those reports an investigation should have been done to see if any "illegal" activities were being done.. The way that HB moves between waypoints is a dead give away that someone is botting, and even a bunch of people using the same profile and "training" is a good way as well.. but with a profile with over 9000 (no pun intended) waypoints, training should not have been an issue. Also it gathers all across pandaria, so its not staying in the same zone being even more "suspicious".

Granted anything could have triggered the investigation so no telling what caused it, I'm not upset, or coming here to QQ about it like some kiddie.. just here to simply get someone elses opinion on what may have caused it, and maybe be a thread that people can view when determining on how much to sell to a vendor (if thats the case).

Update: After two different appeal tickets sent, I got the account unbanned.

Ah, this is interesting. I also got another bot banned today, and I was letting crane wing inscriptions build up in his bag instead of selling them immediately. I wonder... perhaps we should unload them immediately?

I'm not even sure if that is what triggered it, very well could have been.. The email was a generic auto generated email that doesnt say much at all, basically "one of your characters has been identified" blah blah blah..

In your case, did you bot with the same account that you are doing the enchants with?

Yes. I have a custom bit that will pick herbs, mill them, put them into inscriptions, sell them, and buy more paper, rinse and repeat, without using the auction house, or going to town, or even manual intervention.

I'm not sure I want to continue, to tell the truth. That makes 4 accounts banned - only one of my original 5 is left standing. I have other accounts, but they're relatively recent - from the last $5 sale. I might just sell them instead, try to get my money back. You just can't tell what they'll ban - a 5 year account with 30 diff chars of all classes on it, a new account with 20 hours questing on it, an old unused family account that was recently brought back to life. I guess they're paying more attention now. Not once did they give me a warning - in each case, the first email WAS the permanent ban.

Blizzard is sucking all the flavor out of this scone, and spoiling my fun, with these bans. I COULD play by hand, but once you bot, you never go back - it's just not as much fun. They'd have to offer more than the same old grindfest, to make me want to play by hand again.
