So let me say I have yet to be banned all I was using was tuhanas profile for pvp not even using bg buddy just lazy raider for the past 3 months and this account was banned and my gatherbuddy account was banned to at the same time. Its not detectable.i had 3/4 i had up and running banned today gota response in 2 hours got 1 back other 2 wont be overturned START MIDDLE END!
Same here. going on 3 years strong. No bans. I gotta tell you this, You're not telling us something. I know for a FACT you left it untended in the pvp zone.
Any explanation for the 20-30 bans in past 1-2 weeks? I seen these forums not have a ban for 2 months before...
As far as I can tell the ones who are getting banned are one of two people 1) they left their toon doing BG's even if its for an hour, there is a 50 page thread on the wow forums of people complaining about it. I dont doubt blizzard is keeping a close eye. Its very easy to spot the bots when they are all running and stopping at the exact same spot to mount up or eat etc.. Blizzard doesn't need to find a method to detect HB when theres blatantly obvious signs of a bot. Not to mention player reporting has gone up 1000%. 2) People with Unmerged SoR accounts. People sold these like hot cakes, OBVIOUSLY Blizz got wind of this and BAM!!!!!! Again, these are very easy to detect because when these accounts started they had a certain address, city state and zip, next thing you know 4 years later, the same account arrives 3 countries away with a totally different name. I have yet to be banned. I farm 12- 15 hours a day for almost 3 years now. The only thing i have never done was BG's and I never purchased a SoR acct.
I think the big question people are not asking is, IS Your SERVER High Population , Medium , Or Low. but you are right also. im on low @ night med during day. i only BOT at night, I use to bot alot on 1 account and it got popped while having a convo with somone back in cata.
+1 I totally agree. If the bot was detected, it would not be a few 100 bans, it would be 10's of thousands as every bot account is banned at one time.
If HB were detected, you would see over 1000 ban reports per day. If you see 20 or 30, you see people who are unlucky. OP - sorry for your loss. Editting the thread title as its more likely to generate flames than light.
Been using HB since 2010 and havent got banned yet, you need to bot smarter and you dont think your "gathering account" might have anything to do with it?
That indicates nothing not everyone reports a banned account on these forums, given the amount of people who rarely even post here or look at the forum I'd say the majority of bans go unreported but then again most bans are caused by the bot controller being stupid not the bot.
You lost all credibility to me with this statement. Hacking a server or launching a DDOS attack is a criminal activity. So, sorry for your luck!
... at all the people psoting reply's I thank you for your time. But I have not I repeat have not used gatherbuddy or any bot base besides lazyraider and tuhanas cr on this account since it has been my main account for the past 6 years. I could understand my gatherbuddy account but it was running on a separate machine so my statement I think is valid.
jack - if you see 1000 ban reports a day and if you see Blizzard staff in handcuffs for hacking, you can say your statement is valid. Short of that, I totally understand that you are upset that you lost your main account, that you don't understand how it was linked to your farming account and that you want to vent your sadness. But do try to be realistic.
