9 of 10 accounts banned.

A month or so ago I had 4 out of 5 accounts banned - only one old family account was left standing. Undeterred, I bought five more accounts during the $5 sale, and upgraded them all to Pandaria, and bought 6 more Honorbuddy licenses to boot.

Today, I was playing manually, when all my bot windows closed around me, within seconds of each other. My heart sank. I checked it out - every single new account was banned, 5 of 5.

These characters never botted more than 8 hours at a time, and had an 8-hour idle time to boot. Also, I ran private profiles all the way (except for Kick's early questing profiles.)

I'm done - I won't be doing HonorBuddy addons or plugins any more. Good luck evading the coppers, guys - it was fun while it lasted.

it has nothing to do with hb ... someone prob keeps a close eye on the realm(s) ur botting on and is reporting you

pretty sad to hear that. imho you are one of the most promissing devs. fighthere, fightthisway, hotspotrecorder are outstanding plugins/cr. i will miss your good work. but it seems thats the way hb works right now.
base is buggy as hell, private devs abandon their projects. who can blame them. doing all the good work, getting nothing

i got two perma bans today. One was a 16k acheiv point account and the other 8k a acheivs...

 

Sorry for your loss. I got 3 accounts banned a 3-4 hours ago and i'm still waiting on the email.

 

mine were also banned around then, i also talked to someone else i know that bots on my server. He was also banned (gathering)

 

I will also add that i have 2 more questing bots that have been going 24/7 for the past 4 days and they were left untouched

 

So what could explain the reason for these bans...Im confused, Is it the supposed "tripwire" that's causing them or does this sound more like reports from players?

 

Ill stop botting as well. This goddamn-awful bot called Honorbuddy is no longer of use to me. I lost 13/15 accounts that were supervised 90-92% of the time. All of them were run using private profiles and still got hit by the ban hammer. Screw this shit, the developers won't tell us what the hell is going on. I've lost all my trust and respect for this product. Good luck guys

 

Ya i still have 12 Accounts thats been going 24/7 for the past 2 months and they're just fine. However, I only use Honorbuddy to level my toons and 2/3 banned are freshly dinged 90's.

All the latest bans seem to be because of 'hacks' as well - different from the 'abuse of the economy' that we usually see.

 

Firstly, very sorry for your loss.
Never been banned. No one using my profiles has been banned. To me this looks like many reports from other players. Investigations on wow accounts can last months, once sufficient ban reports have been made agianst u over 2-6months u could possibly get banned, i highly reccomend using logmeout plugin with it set to log out 1min after player targets u. when u see a log out u know that u have most likely been reported. Ive had about 7 ppl target me in the last 6 moths. I see that as 6 ban reports. Nothing for me to worry about. ty and i hope this helps
Also make sure all transactions are made thru a gbank, never send anything in the mail and make sure u always, always have a diff toon post auction to the toon farming, since ah has toon name on it, It takes nothing for someone to see your name with 100 stacks and then see u botting 24/7. When your bots bags are full deposit into gbank, log onto ah toon, take mats from gbank and sell on ah, put gold back into gbank. when u have customer, invite one of thier toons to gbank and get them to take gold from gank and deposit into paypal=win win.

 

you could also try arelog so you can swap up what your doing every phew hours.. say if your questing go questing 2hours pvp 1hour or so.. i dunno .. try new stuff O.O

 

most of us been using arelog, its just mostly involving gathering. i just got two with breaks every 2 hours. gathering max at 12 hrs a day with 12 hrs rest. 2/2 and having it loop. they have a new tripwire or something.

 

Honorbuddy does not have a tripwire, you are thinking of warden. Tripwire was a feature in WoWGlider that would shut down the bot if warden was updated.

On topic:

I received 4 bans today, all for "hacks". All accounts were run for a maximum of 12 hours per day.

Sent in support tickets hopefully to get unbanned, as every time I received exploiting economy bans I was unbanned within a day.

 

What I meant by the tripwire was I've heard on more then one occasion that WoW has sort of an autoban tripwire. Not using actual numbers here but maybe if a player loots more then 900 fish in an hour, or plays 11 hours consecutively. Stuff like that. Im wondering if it's even safe to fishbot at this point. I'm almost ready to cease using gatherbuddy after seeing all the bans

 

Biggest issue is gathering. IF you have profiles that run anywhere near trees/rocks the spastic movement of the bot trying to land will tell even a 5 year old watching that it's a bot. I mean no real player goes down/up/sideways/diagonal up/down/rinse/repeat and then fly off when it decides to blacklist it. Doesn't take long for people to say 'Watch out for so and so' to get more attention from real players than you want. Sorry to hear about the bans.

Edit: Meant to add a solution rather than just a complaint. Make the bot dismount/cancel flight aura 5-10 yards above the ground. Bot can find herbs just fine from the ground. If you can't survive that kind of fall then you have bigger problems

 

i think its gathering related one of my accounts was banned today running gb2 put i had my main account runing kickz questing and it didnt get banned
