Dude, you got knock the "F" out.. You say you only botted 1-2 hours per day? Hard to believe if you're questing/rep/bg. I run longer than that and haven't seen a ban yet on my 4 bots, even though I know I could be posting on here tonight or tomorrow. Really sorry for you, especially for your main toon - if you read any of these threads, you'd know not to bot on anything you don't mind losing. Best of luck!
He has another thread where he noted that his farmer had been running for 3 weeks straight. That's why this account got nailed too.
Sorry for your loss. I doubt there's any connection to your first account unless you traded him gold/mats or w/e, but I think BGBuddy got you on this one :/ It's risky as fuck since anyone with half a brain can tell if you're botting or not in BGs.
Nah. If it is IP, then you have the issue with your roommate botting and you both getting banned for it. If it was because it was on the same PC, that would be an HB detection, and we'd all be screwed. I'm betting same account info / payment method. I use the same address on both of mine, but different names and a digital credit card setup under the fake name to pay for the second. They're going to see they're linked by IP, so when checking I'd rather they see the accounts have different owners, if they're only looking at 1 to ban it.
No both accounts had totally different information and payment methods. But they were on the same computer. So like he said, it is even IP linked or new detection method.
Just as bad. Detection method = we're all banned. IP is only plausible if they were going to ban your farmer, and caught your main botting when they checked it (or there were reports on both.)
Considering I only botted a few hours at a time (like seriously 1-3 max) on my main account, I highly doubt I got banned. Even when I did BGbot, I would "help" it along sometimes when it would get stuck or act crazy or w/e. But it was ALWAYS 100% supervised on this account.
I've been reading up about a lot of these unbanning services. Any tips, success stories? After 2 responses from blizz saying No. I'm ready to try anything. I'm not starting over from scratch. I'll quit all together, go back to xbox, or finally some sunlight... =p
... But you did get banned. You also had a titanic-sized red flag on your IP from having botted for 3 weeks straight, which guarantees your main account was being investigated just for sharing an IP.
I was referring to time spent in a single stretch. I'd think that was obvious since it's actually impossible to bot 24/7 for 7-8 months straight.
Not literally 24/7 but I meant I botted everyday on the farm account. It was on pretty close to that time frame.. I mean there was random dc's, resets, stuff like that.
Not correct. I've bnet accounts that have some of the accounts banned and others fine and they all were botted on the same computer. Its more likely that they linked the 2 accounts and saw that some of the fruits of botting were passed to the main account.
