A friend of mine got suspended for 72 hours after using HB. Has blizzard found a way to find out that we use Honorbuddy? I have not used it after he got suspended, dont wanna risk it.. can anyone tell me if they still use it ?
i got perm banned 4/4 1 of the accounts was just a bank/crafter...used HB only 1-2 hours each day on that one
I just got a 72 hour ban and the GM said that upon investigating he found it to be correct and that I have third party software installed on my computer. Can they detect it now? I want to press the issue and keep e-mailing them until they unban me but I'm afraid to make an ass of myself.
I get your point mate but think about it. If you had killed someone you wouldn't go in to court and say I did it and get 25 years. You'd push for a trial and try and prove your innocence. It's not about being guilty or not it's about me not wanting to lose control of my account. I think after this I'm going to open another account and not bot with my main one.
They won't lift the ban, so telling them to put more time into investigating, something that would just be against you, is pointless and not a good idea.
did ANYONE of you rename the buddy.exe? little hint: they can watch your process-list any Hack, bot ect. MUST be renamed (they dont must if they generate a random-processname)
This is COMPLETELY irrelevant. No, they cannot monitor any processes, other than ones interferring with Wow.exe (memory hooks). Even if they COULD read your process list, they would NOT ban you based on process names. That is IDIOTIC. They would get the process running, hash it, and compare it to known cheats. Names are irrelevant, that's like saying anti-virus software finds threats by looking for the word "virus"..
They cant ban you because you look like a bot. If they cant detect Honorbuddy they cant really ban you. Think about it, should I be banned because I play shitloads of WoW and move like a bot? Just because I look like a bot doesnt mean im a bot.
