1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? HB Questing

2)If so, when was the last time?: Up till DC and then account banned.

3)What profile were you using?: Kicks

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Default

5)What plugins are you using?: None of note.

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: All up about 90 mins, I had to manually relog twice in that time (do no use relog plugins)

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 100% - I was working right next to the PC (I had 2 bots running on 2 machines, both questing). I say 100%, even though I was working the PC was on full screen, no stucks, no whispers. I was actually looking at the bot killing a mob when the DC happened (it wasn't fascinating, I was on the phone).

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 0

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? No

      10)EU or US realm? US

11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Paid account.

This has freaked me out, as I have been SUPER carful with all the ban acticvity. This account only had 1 90 for gathering but I had not used GB for over 2 weeks. I just started leveling an alt on this account again today and WHAM!

I am going to appeal. I have had one account banned in the 2+ years and that was for something stupid I did. I can honestly say this was as low a profile as I could keep.

I have a new rig on the way and was about to go nutz on the WoW offer, I think I will hold off now. If they got me like this I might be throwing my money away.

I've stopped using Kick's for this same reason. the quest path has become a flag for behavior. It doesn't take much for blizz to setup a bot and record its every move then measure that pattern across the network.

The mop stuff is super linear so it would be harder but pre-mop gets much easier to detect with pre-cata. Were you in pre-mop content when this happened?

I usually will stop when i see the bot skipping some quests and do them myself, especially in pre-bc and bc content.

This bit is what will have got you banned, probably a build up of player reports then banned you a few weeks later.

      sucks, try appeal

Every user that comes here claiming that was banned for pure questing profile using Kickzz has a "detail" in the background. Note that you're usually not instant banned when you are marked for other activities, it will take a while until the flag on your account is analysed and banned if proven that you are using a third party, so the gathering char probably got reported and the hammer went down when you were questing.

Sorry for your loss, but once you turn out using the bot to gather, that's were a lot of accounts get reported, by regular users and by other botters that reads the bot pattern from miles away.

Blizzard doesn't ban right away. Of all the theories one can argue about, this one isn't it - it's not a theory IT'S FACT. there are numerous blue posts saying as much. The reason they don't do it is *specifically* to prevent what this post is about "I was questing for 90 min and BOOM banned, now I know what triggers a ban".

If you used GB2 two weeks ago and questing just now and got banned now, guess what - it's about the GB2. Not to mention permabans for quest leveling is really rare and for gathering is... really incredibly common.

Yes I had just hit LK at 70 and reloaded the profile. I hadn't used the toon in over a week.

I could handle 1-80 by hand, but if you can't use Questing for 80-90, ugh I don't know how many I could handle on that grind.

I was thinking that as well. I do use a private profile for GB2 and only farm for 2-3 hours every couple of days to get mats for my main. I use the Guild Bank to xfer mats, so I like to think I am careful.

The hardest part is that I simply do not know if I have any trust in HB right now, even for Lazyraider which I use on Dailies and Trash (not bosses) as I get so sick of bashing keys :)

P.S. I just checked my email and they overturned the suspension WOOT!

Seems like they are banning on suspicion and qualifying out by appeal maybe????

All i can say is take the time and fight for your account.

Well I want post it for obvious reasons. :)

I denied it, acted suprised and asked them to explain what they meant. It was actually overturned very quickly, I just did not go back to the email account as I had given up on it.
