      Almost sounds like when your account is flagged by any means, player reports, NPH, KPH there is a high probability that the server triggers the local scan on your machine while your running wow. This means say your account gets flagged, the next time you log on there could be a random scan waiting for you on the other end that will trigger once you've been online for a bit. All they need is a report of your processes showing HB and your perma banned. I think the 72hr is a we know your fucking around but cant prove it right this minute..

      try appealing the 72h then, they're always "evidence confirming blah blah action taken appropriate"

      I use click to move a lot ...Best way to fly long ass distances,best way to move in dungeons and raids ..so no .

      I think its not about NPH, its about movement patterns...
      I got my main account perm banned today, over 3 mio gold on that (2 mio selfmade without bot), 8 yrs old.
      The reason was third party... I only bottet about an hour a day with a selfmade profile for smelting ghost iron ore & mailing.
      I actually saw my bann but wasnt fast enough, I got portet to a strange location 3 seconds later account was dead...

      After reading through several different forums i think one thing is clearly true:

      The programm HB itself cannot be detectet by blizzard, but the way it moves, if you always do the same shit, you'll get somekind of flagged.
      If you do the some movement patterns again and again, doesnt matter if public profile or not (but chances are a lot higher with public)
      a gm i going to watch you, teleport you, if you move like a stucked bot or something, u'll get a ban for third party

      PS: First ban ever on that account, irreversible, also talked to a senior gm.

      All MoP farming accounts have been perma banned.....i tried appealing and didint work.....all other farming accounts that farm non MoP zones are fine.....

      I also had 5 MOP Farming accounts banned today. Two were run suicide 24/7 for months until they were perma banned. The other three were ran ~10 hours a day, it only took a week before they were Perma Banned. Does anyone know if blizzard can track your IP?

      Haven't been banned since mop started with my farmers but I've been getting owned the last 2 weeks, 72h's and perma's everywhere, pretty insane.

      Got 5 bans and 8 warns all in the same time last night, I mean it is expected to happen sooner or later but now im interested when will the heat settle down so I can start again because atm its just not profitable.

      Well this explains what was going on with my farming account. I was farming for 12-13hrs a day with breaks every 3 hours that lasted 30 mins. I was doing this for the last week since I knew I was not renewing that particular account. I was farming Uldum and all of a sudden I look at my screen and it's black and I couldn't move, but I was still in game. I dismounted because I was still flying and I fell out of a tree in Ashenvale. I had no idea how I got there. So of course I hearthed and took the port back to Uldum. Not even 15 mins into my farming the same exact thing happened. It was my last day on the account anyway so I just logged. I won't bother bringing that account back online.

      If you mean 3 lines of code running on your PC in a process with no limitations? So could Blizzard if they were allowed. So could anyone with a small clue about scripting.

      If you mean from a different process that obeys Warden's legal limitations? That I want to hear more about.


      (and FWIW ... I'm more and more of the mind that GMs, once they open an investigation, are scanning for more than Warden itself is allowed to scan for ... so I'm not going to be amazed if later on it comes out they are detecting the bot process or the injected code in case-by-case bases ... I'm just not so far believing that Warden is doing so)

      I think there's some confusion here. No one is saying there aren't teleports going on. No one is saying bans aren't happening. Bans are a part of botting. They happen. Other GMs have used teleporting as a way to detect bots in the past. That is also not new.

      Are people not using rare-killer? Does it not work for zone teleports anymore? If it does and people aren't using it, then whose fault is that?

      There was bound to be some blowback from the new report features eventually. Maybe this is it, maybe not. But there doesn't seem to be any clear evidence that Blizz is doing anything new. As I said in my first or second post itt, teleporting suspected bots is something GMs were known for on certain regions/servers. That's why we are supposed to have ways of dealing with teleports.

      From my ban thread, it looks like the majority of those banned are from EU realms, and mostly gathering. Perhaps there's an effort across the pond to deal with bots and it includes porting suspected bots? Wouldn't be the first time.

      When its not in beta, they get sold, even if they're sold "privately" they're still sold, right ?

      Isnt it easy to build a simple plugin that detects transportation? And if it detects teleport, it just stops the bot? (I don't know how to build plugins as they are probably made in C++, which I never programmed in). But I could easily write such a detection programme in my preferred programming language; Delphi. (If anyone needs such a prog, let me know)

      I also believe that "in-air"-CTM might trigger alarm-bells. As a normal user you can't right click an airspot in-game, and honorbuddy does it programmaticaly. It would be simple for Blizzard to check if someone is "in-air"-CTM'ing, which allows Blizz to tell humans and bot-movement apart

      When detecting the teleport the client should close itself AFTER giving a loud notification of some sort. I know there was mention that Rare Killer (a plugin) can shut down the bot when it detects that the toon moved off of the current continent. But if the continent doesn't change ... it doesn't work. However the code is all there except for changing "continent change" to "teleport/unexpected location change".

      When flying in the air, is there no way to use "normal" (non-CTM) injections to just keep a standard vector and monitor the location to see if the vector needs to change?

      (I'm not a coder, I occasionally hack things, and I have no 3D programming skill ... so "no, there is no way to inject that" is a valid answer ... "go program it yourself" is not)

      ...

      Addressing those and improvements on stuck/unstuck behaviors (to lower the amount of player reports and low-level GMs who can all see this behavior for what it is now) would be VERY welcome improvements.
