I was banned and reopened three times this month on my botting account. All i do one it is gatherbuddy for 3-4 hours every other day. but the odd thing is I finally relieved a reason in English for my ban and they are saying "tunneling services" aka my Strong V P N i use to protect my main account. So i think they are catching onto V P N services on wow.... Just figured id give you guys a heads up.
yep, my AH char got a economy ban some days ago... appealed and they said something about tunneling etc. and I shouldn't use them again. can't post the exact ticket wording, bnet error - will try later I didn't bot btw, just used a Pro.xy. afaik they also said it was an auto-ban (because of using a pro.xy service which is often used by botters, hackers, etc.)
Somehow i doubt blizzard got the bright idea to start banning protocols*... The reason they want you to avoid it, is that they track where you login from, in the case you'd get hacked most likely it will be an IP from a totally different geographic location, such as one a *** tunnel would provide. The whole proccess is automated and it takes time for them to review each cases manually... It has nothing todo with ***, its a protocol*, used by millions and millions worldwide, legitimately... Same thing as some entities wanted to ban the torrent protocol...geeez.... :-/
