I sometimes catch myself staring at my bot grinding for a solid 10 minutes. I never succeeded in grinding 10 minutes full before I ever knew there was a bot for World of Warcraft... Roughly 5 years ago or something?
There are a ton of different dynamics going on... For me, it's not so much the botting as it is gaming the system. I like "stickin' it to the man" and doing something Blizzard doesn't want me doing. I always giggle when I hear fanboys say something like "omg, but that's against the rules!". They treat the official Terms of Use as if it were some sort of devine law or something, like the ten commandments. Weird... Anyway, it makes me feel cool.
Botting in wow isn't even that interesting =p The best botting experience i've had was in a game called Lineage2, some might know it Used to run Full parties with tanks, healers, dps and all in the highest level areas. Even did raid bosses (basically a Boss in the open, not instanced like in wow) =p Ah...fun days It all comes down to being able to do things other people can't accomplish with little to no effort =)
I love all the extra cash that botting has made me but i wouldn't say its a drug, although it does help pay for my drugs =\
i sold my car for this type of drug. then bought a ferrari with the cash made from running 56 bots. Risky investing is fun.
"It all comes down to being able to do things other people can't accomplish with little to no effort =)" ^love it zoom, so true...yea its kinda a drug, im kinda an addict
Started botting cause I never had time to level due to work. Ended up staying for the gold and amusement of watching my bot kill stuff.
