Got banned today after doing all my dailies with questbot i switched to my rogue for PB herb multizone profile got disconnected and recieved the acc closed message "hacks". Anything i can do to try and appeal this ban? edit : got it back
Eh, using your "main" account was a bad idea, you don't ever want to loose that - but you can only try to appeal it. Depends on what the ban message said? Normally the "Hacks" message is a very, very tough one to over turn.
I got the hacks message and appealed it last night . Im back in the game Greetings, Thank you for contacting us concerning the recent action taken against the World of Warcraft account. While we understand your concerns regarding the status of this account, we take matters involving the integrity of the game environment very seriously. Please take a few moments to look over the World of Warcraft Terms of Use (http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/wow_tou.html), which all players agree to upon initially logging into the game. The Terms of Use state that you will not "...modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game Client or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard" or "...use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience..." Additionally, the Battle.net Terms of Use (http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/termsofuse.html) state that "You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Login Information, and you will be responsible for all uses of the Login Information, including purchases, whether or not authorized by you." Due to a second thorough review of the circumstances involved in this account action, we have made the decision to modify the previously communicated penalty. This additional review took into consideration a variety of factors including the history and standing of this account. Please understand that should another incident arise in the future, it is possible that a different outcome will be reached. Please review our in-game penalties policy (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=20221) which states that "we must also factor in the severity of the infraction and how often the player has violated our policies in the past. Based on these factors, the penalty may be moved up the Penalty Volcano, up to and including Account Closure." If the previously issued action resulted in the closure of this account, the account has been reopened and access restored. Should any action be required in order to regain access to this account, an additional email will be sent from an @blizzard.com or @battle.net email address with further instructions. If no additional correspondence is received, you should be able to access this account using the password that was valid before the account closure. Thank you for your continued correspondence in regards to your account and for respecting our position.
I wont be botting on this acc but i have another with a diff wow license, but under the same bnet acc. Once ur unbanned i heard you're flagged for life is it per wow license or entire bnet acc. too bad i have 2 sessions t-t
How exactly did you go about appealing this? I was banned today, I think. Never got an email about it, just a 202 error message.
So I appealed mine: "I'll be honest, I'm not sure what you want me to provide here. But I will be honest, I have violated ToU, but never received a warning of any kind. I have never preformed those violations to gain financially, as I have never sold or bought gold. My violation was merely to benefit myself, and was primarily used as a method to level characters, without neglecting my duties as a guild officer and raid leader. I can assure you, that should you reinstate this account, I will no longer do said ToU violation, and since I know this account will be flagged for monitoring, I know better than to be an idiot and go against the ToU again. Thank you for taking your time to read this, and I do hope that you have a pleasant day reading more of these, and getting chuckles out of them all, like I do every time I get a call regarding banned accounts at my place of employment." And the answer I got back...IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES: Hey there! We have restored access to the World of Warcraft account STONESTING. You should now be able to log in with your old password. Important: In order to prevent a repeat compromise; once you have regained access to your account, please change your email address to a new address via Battle.net account management. Please remember that the security of the account you are using is crucial. We recommend following the http://us.battle.net/security/checklist on our Account Security site at http://us.battle.net/security/. Thank you for your understanding and please feel free to contact us at https://us.battle.net/support/en/ticket/submit with any further questions you may have. Enjoy yourself in Azeroth!
Funny and by their reply it looks like your account was compromised, even though you told them otherwise.... odd.. gratz on getting your acct. back.
He is botting - gathering with his main account. That actualy mean that he playing on it besides of botting. Blizzard have diferent aproach when removing bans.
This is 1000% true. They can see all tickets on your bnet account. Not per license. Once banned on a bnet, you will not get a 2nd chance.
"Hi i've had this account since early days of BC and as i finished my dailies i was disconnected and recieved an account closure notice as i tried to log back in. Im sure this was a false decision on your end. I adhear to the game's terms of use and I've never violated these rules. I just dont see any reason as to why this ban was placed on me. I've talked to many customer reps about previous issues and i was pleased with the service blizzard employees have provided me. I'd wish to continue as a long-term rule abiding honest subscriber to this game, as always." from their reply it looks like they were pretty sure i was botting but b/c it was my first offense in my years of playtime they let me go
