i started using HB not a long time ago and i use it on my second account but i wanna know if its safe to run the bot while i open another wow on the same machine windowed but 64 bit while running the bot like is it possible that my main account get banned because of that?
If the botting account is connected with the account you manually play, yes. If they arent connected to your bnet account they wont IP ban you, if that was the case if one person bots in a dorm everyone else would too, so you woudl be safe in this instance.
ive been banned with differ Bnets all at the same time that werent connected to each other and not all of them were bots
and those accounts had never been botted on or werent botting at the time of the ban? I have noticed lots of delayed bans so it could be that you just got a little extra time between when <GM> banURbot gets around to each account. If you do get banned and you havent botted on the account there is no way you wouldnt be able to appeal it and get your account back. Like i said You cant ban an entire dorm with a shared ip because one person was botting...mac addresses may be harder to argue but it all goes back to whether or not you were botting on the other accuont or not.
im using a bot on an account that only bot on a diff bnet and my main is on a diff bnet account open in the same computer in window mode but not in 32 so im wondering if they can ban bot account even if i never bot with my main
and mac address presumably? I really dont think they can ban based on the IP, its too sticky. Thats really interesting, it seems to prove they have no actual scientific definitive way to detect bots, its as much speculation on their part as our guessing how they detect bots.
i heard they can ban because another account is using the same payement info but i found this stupid for exemple me and my bro play wow and for exemple he bot and i dont we got same IP and i paid a month for him for example and he get banned and they ban me too cuz using same info and ip i found it stupid seriously if they do that
Huh, thats really baffling. I'm just trying to think of what could have happened here.. Splitting off of your router every machine should have its own IP and feeding into your router should be a single IP from your ISP. Thats the only common factor I can think of here, unless your using a ***** and some virtual machines or something. DNS and IP, IP being the only really unique thing here. It just seems like such a slippery slope to ban people from an IP because other people can legitimately be using it. Were you able to appeal the odd man out and get the account back? Seems like you would be able to make a pretty strong case in your favor.
