Warrior Tests are invalid unfortunately. Those have to be ran again, thus will be available a bit later. Death Knight reports will be available shortly, a new tester has been recruited. NOTE: Looking for more testers, please take a look at the class overview.
Brilliant Idea, if we strip out the names/realm and stuff it might be possible. Like this & if u agree (vote).
This is just what the Honorbuddy CR forums needed! Seriously awesome work. I can't wait for the ret and DK results .
^_^; I'd offer to test, but I just got back into the swing of things and just hit 470. In Cata and LK, I was one of my server's top geared and best mages. By time as I hit 490 or higher, if you don't have an arcane or fire mage, I'll let you know.
While I'm appreciate this thread, I think OP just get himself into trouble I saw PureRotation update every hour, my CR update few time a day. We have active devs and I'm sure update improve CR rotation. Question is: How do you keep updated the newest benchmark result with these hourly/daily update I'm supporting this thread just want a fair and updated result of all CR
Well... the tests happen at a certain time. Of course some code will change, but how will you handle it? You have got basically 2 passible ways to handle it: 1) you only test finished routines. 2) you test a routine at a certain time. I guess that 2) is the way to go then. Results can be updated over time.
Post #2 for Developers: Combat ranking requests can only be done once a month. If u feel like the routine has been improved u can make a request to re-test.
To be fair, I think we need a specific rule for this BuddyRanks, something like 3D Mark or PC mark rule. These are few of my suggestion: - Specific Talent and Glyph. Few CR don't support a specific talent (like I never seen PureRotation hunter use Blink Strike on hunter for example - it's unfair to test CR that support and don't support that talent). Once Talent and Glyph set in rule, we can disqualify CR that don't support it. - Specific Rotation. I suggest tester use the max dps Rotation on all test. For example my CR support PvP rotation and it do 70% dps compare to my Raid rotation, so for testing, it must use Raid rotation instead. - Specific AoE or Not. For example my CR automatically recognize if there are 2 more dummy beside the main target dummy and activate AoE rotation. AoE always do more dps than single target and it's unfair to test that way. - Specific Dummy. Well test result against level 60 dummy is totally different from 95 raid boss ofc. (Suggest use the MOST LEFT dummy in the shine) - Specific Cooldown. A test use 5 min big cooldown show different result on the test don't use it ofc. (Suggest turn off all Spells which have more than 3 min cooldown) - Specific Trinket usage: Some CR support, some do not support trinket on burst phrase. (Suggest turn it off) - Specific Potion usage: Same as above (Suggest turn it off)
I have to disagree with most of this. Forcing AOE to be turned off is probably a good idea. But why turn off trinket/potion usage if the CR supports it? That's what gives it more DPS, and is a "feature" of the CR. Just because others don't support it, doesn't mean it should be excluded. Others just need to step up and learn that they can get some more DPS by actually taking things into account. Yes, specific dummies should be used. (Raider's Training Dummy in pandaria/org/stormwind/etc.) The actual useful dummies. No to CDs. That's why there's multiple tests. Burst DPS, longevity, and so on. If a CR doesn't support a talent/glyph, then it's up to the developer to support it. Plain and simple. There are "max DPS" builds available around the net, and people should be supporting those first if they're aiming to support raid DPS. As long as the tester is using a controlled setup (same build, same potions, same CDs off cooldown when starting, same target), then it's a valid way to test all the CRs without any bias. If your CR doesn't do something another does, and it gets more DPS, then that's your issue to fix, and the testing is still valid. Yours simply does less DPS.
tbh, you take this way to serious? Afraid it will hit you in the wallet when its not updated at your best interest?

-I would not say that the testers should use a specific talent/glyph combination on all the CRs, but instead when a developer ask for a test, he can give the talents/glyphes he recommends. -totaly agree to using only max dps rotation -aoe should always be turned off in my opinion... the only boss (at least nHc) where AoE is important is horridon. -as dummy i would suggest raiders dummy in IF, because of less people standing there, when a cc bugs out and no cleaving due to standing alone -for a 10 min fight and burst test, turning of the CDs is senseless -as already pointed out by apoc trinkets have to be used, because they can make a huge difference in dps, and thats what we aim for -i would prefer no potions/bufffood/flasks and only selfbuffs
