I dont know if i am getting boring with this threads, but someone on ciggarc chat said they heard nothing about this from some of the devs associated with the buddybots. I find this extremely hard to believe as it will probably be the next big thing coming out of blizzard. I expect to stick with the buddybots for quite a while so naturally this question come to my mind...

Well if it really is blizzard's next mmo then it will have to attract a lot of customers... Glad to hear that you are considering it tony, someone on ciggarc chat channel said that the buddybots devs had no such plans, which i found really hard to believe.

This company will make bot for titan by the time when 90% of initial playerbase realize that its another shitty diablo-like game which was remade over and over and over for 10 years, only to be released as half-finished product without any clear idea about what it was supposed to be. Blizzard in current shape is pathetic company, they barely can make decent game (starcraft 2) by simply copying previous installment with new set of single-player missions and graphics. Whenever they are trying to make something original, deriving from old solutions like Cataclysm or Diablo 3 it ends up as major disaster. If they try to make Titan something completely fresh, as they do, according to my knowledge, it will be fail of a decade, dwarfing even TOR.

Eisenberg, just coz they made huge hickup with d3 doesnt mean all of their future products will suck too. Also, i will bet you any time that within a year and a half with proper pvp modes/side games, expansion and new items and classes d3 will live up to its former glory that D2 had...

Diablo 2 wasn't fantastic at it's first year period, it probably took another few months to get things into gear, just like D3 will become.

There hasn't been a really succesful mmo that tries to be completely fresh ever since wow (and obviously wow wasn't completely revolutionary as some people who were actually playing mmos at the the time will claim. Wow happened to be at the right time on the right place with the right market.

That being said, wow is actually bleeding players in occidental markets at a huge rate. Blizzard inflates user numbers with stuff like 1 free month players, and the asian market that saw it introduced a few years later, so the userbase there still have some interest in playing same thing over and over. And if blizzard really wants to keep the golden chicken, they'll have to upgrade it....so there will have to be a wow2.

If titan is released in the time frame between the virtual "end" of wow1, and the release of the upgraded wow2 (I don't think titan is wow2, they have denied that often but I won't trust a word they say again) it could be hugely succesful.

Only time will tell. Yet I agree the decision of creating a bot or not by the buddys shouldn't be strictly taken by the game sales, since that would mean the bot wouldn't be available for the first months while it is on development, and therefore the best time for botting for profit would be lost.

Anyway, titan was expected to be released by the end of next year (2014) , and that's even considering no delay would come which is hugely unlikely. We botters should be looking for another game to bot in the meantime, methinks.

user base = main factor due to profit over time to make/invest.

Of course. But it shouldn't be the only factor, right? Just out of my mind they could try to develope a bot for x game, just based on the game sales, to find out it is completely unbotteable due to technical reasons; or they could use kind of a D&D buddy department to check the bot viability before the game is released, basing on close and open betas and such, and check the botting userbase interest through kind of bot preorders, polls and that sort of stuff.

Minimising risks of the inversion taken in the development checking the public interest in it and the viability of the bot itself would be smart money wise, and the bot could be ready when it is most important, that is when most profit is to be made, be it real money, game currency or whatever.

That being said, I don't know how buddy bots operate, and they could already be doing that, but keeping it strictly private.

Well Buddyteam could decide when the beta is out if the game is worth it. Which would be smart, because given buddy team reputation most people would prefure their products compare to other companies. Still if Titan is out and if Buddytems bot is not one of the first to get out allot of people will get the other companies products, because the first months are the best no matter in what game.

IMO buddy team should release a not polished working version even if it has high detectability straight away and then work out the details. Of course we as customers should know and be warned that everything is not perfect and to be aware of the risk.

And to be honest Blizzard never released games that were a marvel at the begining, WoW was the same and Diablo 3 will be the same. And Sc2 is a nice game to be honest i play it almost daily. I am sure Blizzard would not fail with Titan, most of the senior team is on that game for years. And it normal for WoW to bleed subcriptions, most people just outgrew it. If i see WoW again will honestly puke, but that did not stop me from playing and boting it for 3-4 years and i had a blast back then.

Right... so now when they got all the experience from D1 and D2 and infinitely more money then back then, they found themselves in grave need to reinvent the wheel...

Ppl are bored with WoW, if the release game which is like WoW with better graphics and some additions to gameplay it will be fail in the long run, and they know it.

Agreed, blizzard is so slow that it will take weeks if not months after premiere to implement any serious anti-bot measures, and by then we will make more than tenfold of our initial investment. Delaying DB was a mistake, blizzard was able to ban it nearly as often as other bots without any protection anyways, and we only lost best months with profitability greater than entire subsequent period till now,.

We could discuss this after the game is announced, and than again after release date is known.

I would like to actually play that game and i would like if to be bot-proof.

But if will be bottable and profitable ofc we will take the money :)

LOl bot proof ? No such thing when dealing with the buddybots team :D I have the outmost confidence in this guys and even if the bots last for 2 weeks i am sure we will be able to break large profits the first few months...

Furthermore, anyone preferring to play bot-proof game rather than making couple hundreds euros weekly for several months out of it is a dumbass.
