Been out of the loop for a while, have no experience with mists. What are your guys' suggestions? I have a few things that matter to me: I want to be able to bot it partially during leveling when I can't play myself (And gear isnt going to be great) so it needs to be fairly good at botting at minimum gear levels. I need a class thats high damage, but also has the ability to tank or heal as subspec. I prefer melee I'd like to be able to make gold with it via botting either through professions or some kind of grinding or something. I'm trying to avoid playing a warrior as the friend I'm rerolling with is playing a warrior So I guess it comes down to death knight, paladin (My old favourite and main for all of vanilla/tbc/wotlk), shaman, druid or monk.
Because in order to get an ACCURATE depiction of all of them, I'd have to level every single one to 90 first to get a feel of their in raiding/pvp. I don't have the time or patience for that. For example I leveled a monk to 3 just to try it out, and it felt AWFUL. but that doesn't mean it wont be more fluid-feeling at level 90.
To be honest you'd be better off asking another site if you want accurate descriptions of how the classes play out, most people here are botters and as such rarely know how their class actually "plays". What you want is something objective but I doubt you'll get anything but opinions on what classes are like.
Take a good look at the current combat routines. Some are just amazing and should weigh in when deciding. Pally is always a solid choice.
Any of the plate classes. I just leveled my paladin with Kick's Questing Pack. Keep in mind, once it gets past the Jade Forest, it will default to holy gear when questing with HB so you wont be able to get any upgrades through quest rewards unless it only offers a spec specific reward(1 item). You can purchase the adventuring gear from the vendors so your gear wont really slack. Monks actually become quite fun. BrM is a ton of fun to level especially with Tuahna's CC. Tanking dungeons is a breeze.
