This whole claim that having too many auctions is a ban risk is crazy talk. When combined with dozens of player reports, maybe... I run 1000+ auctions each on two bank toons on my main account, totally legit. I have maintained this level of AH involvement for the better part of 3 years. Another dude on my server runs 2000+ auctions on a single toon, not sure if he's legit or not, but I've talked to him several times and he's always been online. I think the problem comes when you're ONLY selling 2-3 types of items, 100 auctions of Green Tea Leaf and Ghost Iron Ore 7 days a week looks a lot more suspicious than 1000+ auctions spanning 300+ different item ids. Diversify people. That is all.
"Diversify yo bondz" - true story , I made a post where I stated i had made 1mil a week and that was very true and was humble about it because I had met a "buddy" who made 1mill a day. Talk about making me feel like a small fish. Well after getting to know him and now that he has retired litterly ( made 100k+ usd in 6 months and paid his house off and bought him and his wife there masters program ) I will share he bought all of mine and my teams items and I mean everything!!! I would sell him Gbank tabs of greens , lock box's you name it and he would AH them all. I seen him xfer a whole gulid filled with nothing but stacks of blood shards just so he could sell the gold to the sites at a higher rate on another server. With that I asked him about the AH scan and he flat told me " I run my bots 24/7 and when i get shut down i just start anew" The author is correct and it's more about 2 things really. 1: Don't let your mail box stay "full" you have to have a program that will empty it 2:if you dominate a certain market you will piss off someone else , they may be a botter too but none the less you will piss them off and it will become there focus to get rid of you! I personally stayed away from the AH and AH bots because I always had private buyers who would buy all my stuff by the Gbank tab and frequently had buyers fighting over who got my tabs. Just on 1 server i had 5 guild banks and rosters over 100 deep of buyers who would get my items in the end. Thank God for Real ID and buying SC2 with gold for when im back up!
@drakelito: Nah, you got banned for 'looking like you bought gold'. They trace patterns and pair them up with player reports. @everyone else: People need to stop acting like botters if they want to stop getting banned for botting. If the only thing you do is farm stuff, sell product and then move the gold somewhere else and they take a deeper look at your account, it's pretty obvious. Spend some of the gold you make on gear upgrades or something. Do something any normal person playing the game would do.
well everything i said was true and im happy to report im.back up and running with a new isp, nic while running in a virtual machine. I shared my knowlege to help others not to troll or bs.
