for questing fix for those with issues:

START WITH FRESH INSTALL. dont update or overwrite your old folder. at the very least, get rid of your old quest behaviours folder and replace it with a fresh one from the 557 zip file.

If you use kicks or Pandaren daily grind, update both, copy the daily behaviors over to bot. Kick has gotten rid of all his behaviours so there is nothing to copy

I asked for a way to get email when the bot is updated.

I was told that there is no way to inform users when a new update is out. I have a few ideas if you can stand to lower yourself enough to listen to a few suggestions from a puny little subscriber like myself.

First of all, I wonder if anybody on the forum team knows how to send a quick mass email to all the forum subscribers that may request such a notice?

Second, an easier method might be to simply block a thread from being used by anyone but a Dev. This would allow all those that are subscribed to that particular thread to get an email notifying them that a new update is available.


Why am I writing this? Because I came over here and the update does not work with Kick's quest profiles. I am frustrated, but I am attempting to be constructive while I wait for an update that really works. You have a few hundred people popping back and forth to this forum to search through the spam looking for some kind of hidden notice of an update. This gives some of the more ill-mannered members of this community an opportunity to verbally abuse them and take their frustrations out on other subscribers. Can we find a solution to that part of this problem while we wait for the pros to fix the bot?

 

So far, and I am on my way to test it, but copying the quest behaviour folder from the zip on the first post and putting it into my folder seems to be the fix, if you did not want to do an entire fresh install. I was able to load everything up without the errors being thrown around. Just flying out to Borean Tundra to test it.

Anywho, just copying the folder from the zip and placing it in your normal HB folder works, if you do not want to do a fresh install.

Also been said you can so an update to Kick's/Dailies as the "Quest Behaviour" no longer appears there. If nothing else that is another option for you to try to get the questing working.

 

I've come up with a temp fix for those of you that are trying to quest. However, if you are leveling a DK you are SOL til a perm fix comes out.

Delete the following things:

HB Folder/Quest Behaviors/Deprecated/Escort6641.cs (Just this file)
HB Folder/Quest Behaviors/SpecificQuests/DeathknightStart (The Entire Folder)

I have tested this and I have run into no problems thus far.

I will edit post if I run into any problems.

well it did not work for me thou and I did not see anything about DK. However I had error on Escort6641.cs and 30264-VOEB-EnemyattheGates.cs and deleting thouse two files
seem to have done it for me.
I did follow your sugestion with the DeathknightStart folder thou.
my bot is up and questing with so far no problem as far I can see.

All the other values could be explained by looking at the stats of the char one by one (crit,haste return only melee stats not the caster ones)

As a next problem, these stats (the bold ones, that were wrong), are not updated properly when we get a procc (WeaponEnchant,Potion,Trinket)
These values are essential for a logic for dot classes, we are able to manage this by using lua but this should be fixed (these stats were also broken in the last version)

Delete your old Quest behaviour folder and then update fixed it for me!

delete your quest behavior folder then copy / past from a new download this folder in your hb directory. Then have fun with questing.

 

I got the same issues with quest behaviors.. And it does not help to overwrite the folder..

Sadly my HB will not start. Any advice?
