I am no expert at this but have had 9 accounts banned in the last 8 months. I got all 9 back. 3 years ago i used a different bot one i would never use again lost 6 accounts including my main, i could not get any of those accounts back. so i quit wow for a few years, after playing the MoP expansion and deciding to play again i realized i did not want to play 24/7 and i remembered why i started botting so long ago. After searching far and wide i found Honorbuddy, but since i knew botting would get me banned i learned to "Babysit" all of my botted accounts. I start the bots 2-6 of them running at a time and i sit at the computer watching them all. Sometimes i run dungeons with 5 raf linked accounts "babysitting" some times i do archeology, mining herbing skinning grinding i have used every bot that comes with with HB love them all. I did NOT bot i BABYSIT! some of my accounts were scroll of ressarected and some were fresh new accounts. now the bans- i received a few 72 hour suspensions. - those acounts i began botting again within 48 after the suspension ended but instead of say questing i ran dungeons or used archeology to level or maybe i would use PB to level proffessions. i changed what those accounts were doing. when i received a perma ban or aka account closure notice on an account- the solution was simple. I knew on the druid that i had farmed heroics with dungeon buddy i remember the idiots in the group hated the tank and i had stuck with him, i remembered that i had died several times running into mobs that our group forgot to clear. on my pali when it was banned i remembered that had been running about 9 hours of gathering and the day before had been been skilling up its fishing. the hunter it had been running archeology the day before and then had been grinding skins for about 5 hours. so i knew i had used so many different bots and done so much those days i did the ONLYthing anyone should ever do when they get an account closure notice. I submitted a ticket asking what was going on and why my accounts were closed but i detailed all the things the "KIDS" had done on the accounts. the heroics or the archeology or the quests or whatever i was specific enough to show i had been actively supervising CHILDREN playing the game. I asked why they would close my sons account for abuse of economy and my daughters account for hacks when all the kids were doing was trying to enjoy a game and learn several valuable lifes lessons about setting goals and earning their rewards. i told them my son HAD to gather 1,500 stacks of ores and herbs if he was to have enough gold to buy the mount he had wanted, and my daughter had to have 300 tokens from turning in stacks of fish if i was going to buy her the in game pets. each and every ticket i submitted was specific about what the bots had been doing, the reason a child was playing, and i never begged for the accounts back, i ended everyone of them asking why they would take something from a child who wanted to spend time with their dad/mom. i said the kids were ages 4-9 this worked to get my main that was locked with an authenticator. this has worked for me 9 times out of 9. I hope this helps some of you get lost accounts back, i wont guarantee that this will work for you, but i guarantee it has worked for me and i have NO doubt at all that it will continue to work for me. it is NOT a violation of the TOS to allow 1 minor child to play an account. I name all of my accounts and since i have spent several hours "babysitting" i know where they get stuck where they make mistakes. i have observed them doing everything that its easy for me to explain why my 8 year old daughter was running into a wall and backing up and jumping and acting eratic. my advice is dont let the bot do things you have not seen how it does them. babysit your bots and DO get upset when blizzard takes something from a child do get upset when you spend soo much time and money teaching a child to gather herbs ores skins whatever, but do not allow that child to play any game for 24/7. we got the mage account back after it was account closed for doing bgs all day. same thing and the 8 year old boy was trying to pvp why close his account. be creative but dont allow the kids to play more than a kid could play.
A little more about me. I have 6 battle net accounts. each battle net has 2-5 wow accounts on it. I actively pay 7 accounts a month i bot them all. I have a real job and a real life and work between 65-80 hours a week. I dont worry about being flagged or banned when i get a 72 hour ban if the account is a mop account i issue a ticket right away. if the account is just a battle chest i wait for the 72 hours to expire. I have never sold gold nor would i even consider thats NOT why i bot. i would use gold to buy game keys but have not done so yet. i have several guilds on several servers i deposit gold into those guild banks. I have several inactive accounts that have members in those guilds, so i can always pay a different account to get the stuff ive stored in those guild banks. I love to bot or "babysit" just to level guilds and toons. I am the only real person in most of the guilds and even a new recruit has access to 5k gold a day. it takes about 4 weeks with 3 botted accounts to get a guild to lvl 25. i only have about 150-300k in each guild bank. but im not afraid to have more. i use an app on my android phone called splashtop found it on this forum. i did pay 15 dollars for a years access. this app lets me control and see my computer from my phone and no i cannot play wow while i work or even while on the couch with this app alone but i CAN shut the bots off from my phone with this app and see if they are stuck. each of my battle nets has 1 main account the one i would not want to lose. i use raf and link accounts and can grant levels from those accounts to the main ones, i DO bot the main ones but i only bot each active account 3 days a week for 8 hours a day with gatherbuddy. 2 days a week 8 hours at a time with BG buddy, and 1 day a week with dungeon buddy or archaeology. i limit what each active botted account does each week so i can know what it was doing the day it got banned. i mostly bot to level guilds, level toons or to gear toons. i LOVE PB thats my favorite bot. I hope this helps some of you better understand my original post.
pretty creative yeah, usually for me whenever i bot i make sure to run my bots on my Wifi hotspot on my phone. The one time i got banned i told them they could check the IP addresses and see that it wasnt me on my account. It was unbanned in 15 mins lol. I generally only bot when im home (unless its just using kicks to level a toon). I only ever run gatherbuddy or bgbuddy if im on the computer or within visual of it. The one time i got banned i got cocky and ran gatherbuddy for like 24+ hours i think
the most important thing to get out this post is to watch your bots and KNOW what they were doing when you got banned. I have 2 kids and my son started playing wow with me 5 years ago when he was 4, he was good at some things and could lead a party of 5 tanking or healing but when he was grinding or questing he runs into things and does silly stuff alot. I use the actions of my kids actually playing as a template to explain why my bots did weird things, and to explain why they dont reply to a gm or other players. I have had all of my bans reversed because i know what my bots were doing when they got banned. I dont tell blizz hey im sorry i was botting. i tell them my kids were playing and its cruel of them to take an account a child worked soo hard to create away from that child. i dont bot 24/7, i babysit my bots as if it were my kids playing. i monitor them while at work and while away from the house. i have a schedule that i use to run my bots that fits into a schedule that a child could be allowed to play. this has always worked for me. i do not believe blizz has anyway of determining if it was a child running into that wall or an automated bot. when my son played he would cry if he got beaten up over and over again by a certain mob and i would tell him to talk to the healer lady. the bot does that. this program does everything everything like a child would do it and that is all i have to say, as long as i know what it was doing like farming herbs ores skinning running heroics raid finder whatever it was a child playing. No parent wants to leave their child unattended reading the crap in chat or replying to every whisper.
Bot Smart and know what your bot was doing, WHEN you do get banned and you will, then be continue to be smart and take the offensive with blizzard. remind them that their ban is wrong and dont stop playing the account when you get it back keep botting it and keep it going as you were before. from a rational and logical point of view this removes any need to flag your account or for blizz to monitor your activity, you as a parent or guardian of the account have already told them why it does weird shit and why THEY are wrong. if you bot smart and babysit your account there is no reason to ever lose them. IRL when you babysit you dont monitor everything a child or group of children do 100% of the time. the kids are in the back yard, or watching a movie. DONT give them a reason to take your account be smart about how often you use your account and what you do with your account. Good Luck and happy hunting.
Why you need gold on 7 accounts if you dont sell? What is the point? To pay botting accounts and bot again to pay after that? This game havent point, if you play you are geting gear, achiv, mounts... Then they fire new patch/expansion and you need to start from begining. Your botting is pointless to.

I tried this exact method, blaming my nephew who lives with me instead of kids, on an archaeology ban during Cataclysm. Didn't work for shit. Your mileage may vary but it is entirely up to which GM you get handed to.
ToS say you can only let your child 1 child per account play not a nephew or a neighbor has to be your child. You cannot claim that your neighbor or you neice played has to be your child, according to the ToS. the main point of this thread was to keep an eye on your bots and know what to say when you do get banned. this method has worked for me on all occasions in the last year. I just see alot of threads with people asking what to say and if a person is proactive and knows what their bot was doing and supervises it like a child this can and does work. Bot Smart get rich and have fun.
yeah my main account i have had for over 6 years was banned this morning i appealed it and i hope that they respond with a good answer! if not i cant really complain i knew what i was getting into when i started
Recently i have notice that ive been getting a bit more careless in my botting practices and my methods. i have been running bg buddy to get full sets of gear for all of my toons on all of my accounts. I still babysit the bots and i watch movies while letting the bot do everything it is currently capable of doing archeology fishing gathering pvp whatever even dungeons raids and questing. I have not been banned or had any problems in the last 2.5 months i baby sit the bots and enjoy the rewards.
