Yesterday night i had 1/5 US RAF accounts perma banned ( license removed ). It was lvling 1-15 Kicks Questing ang 15 + RAF Dungeonbuddy. The other 4 untouched . ( http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/ban-section-ban-reports/117230-raf-dungeonbuddy-1-5-us-4-5-eu.html ) When they banned it , they also changed the password. And i was stupid enough to have the account registered to a name i could not remember ( retarded , i know ) , and so i could not log the account to make an appeal. Tonight however i managed to get hold on the name i had used , so i unlocked the account and log in , in order to make an appeal for the ban. To my suprise though , the account was no longer banned ! I had not made any actions on my own to overturn the ban. The e-mail i received : "After further review of your most recent action on the aforementioned account, we are overturning your suspension and reinstating your account, effective immediately. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope that you continue to enjoy your World of Warcraft gaming experience." Since im a sneaky bastard , i decided to grab this opportunity to chat up a GM, playing the role of a slightly disappointed customer who was unable to play for a day because of Blizzard's own mistake, and to try to grab as much information as possible. So i opened a chat with a GM , told him how i was banned and unable to play for 24 hours , and then automaticly un-banned with no information whatsoever , and told him that after all this inconvencience i would appreciate some additional information on " what went wrong " . He admitted he was limited on the thing he could tell me , but i believe these lines are worth sharing " Alrighty. So there's not a lot of information about the situation that I can actually provide. It appears that it was an automated system that detected a false positive, which is why the account was reinstated. We have plenty of systems in place to protect the well-being of the game. This was one of them, and very rarely they can make mistakes. In those cases, we can manually verify those mistakes "
