Gathering is gone, now what? Your Thoughts 4 a (golden) penny...

Like so many i made my gold with gathering, then shuffling or selling raw mats... you know what i mean.

Now we can't use GB2 anymore without getting a 100% ban. We must be fair on that.

Blizz checks if you go to the same hotspots in x time. To me that looks like instance farming & pickpocketing isn't an option either.

Gold prices go up since only a few can still farm and gold stocks get worn out...

I haven't seen any solution to this from the devs, if there IS a solution even.

What are your thoughts on this guys? Is there anything we can do better?
Make profiles with a zillion hotspots?

Gatherbuddy is working fine, I dont think this should have anything to do with the Devs, I have never seen HB marketed as a product for people to make money. It is not the devs fault if people get banned from using the HB.

Tick use random hotspots...I really do not think GB2 is broken in anyway...i still have not been banned and GB2 is all i do, thousands of raw mats daily...then i do shuffle, i think Botters reporting Botters is the problem.

I still use GB2, and I use public profiles straight off of the website. No problems yet, but I watch my bots, and they don't get stuck! I also do not fight anything when I'm gathering mats. If there is going to be a fight, I pull up and look for another node.

 

This. I also use GB2 regularly and I have to say only thing I have to complain about is dismounting for the collection of herbs/ore. Seems the new generation of botters are greedy and feel entitled to what ever area they want to bot so there going after fellow botters. Apparently never heard of honor among thieves. If you don't want to use logmeout or any whisper notification for that matter combined with botting endless hours without mixing it up then yes your going to get banned.
The solution to 99% of peoples problems is to take a hour out of the hundreds the bot is saving you to set it up right. I've never managed to even get a temp ban and have all the mounts,gear,pets,etc I want.

 

its people that uses public profiles from people that make them and other 100000000000 people usethem to you wil see alot of people in the same direction im stil not neither banned i make my own profiles and never share them blizzard can read those coordinates of the public profiles

 

My XP with GB2: made a lvl 90 drud and with HBrelog made something like this: 4 hours farming / 1 hour break / 4 hours farming / 2 hours break then repeat.
After 12 hour of using GB2 i have account suspended, message attached:

So as a result i will stop using GB2 because if very clear for me now that this bot is domed. There was no report from users, i made lvl up with HB ( lvl + bg ), used PB for lvl up professions, and then after just 1 day of GB2... I do mention that is have other chars lvled up the same way but did not used GB2 yet, and i have no problem on those accounts.

We should find a solution to farm herbs with PB, it seems a good solution at this time

 

So let me get this straight. Gatherbuddy is unsafe to use? blizz now counts the amount of times X hotspot is visited?( or is that complete bollox?)

 

it isnt unsafe make youre own profile never share them withanyone and you wil be fine if you use profile that 100000 other people use even on youre server ofcourse its unsafe. gb2 isnt unsafe the profiles are unsafe because alot of people using the same thats what me got banned back in the days. try to figure out how zap recorder works and make your own.

 

I tried Zaprecorder but it gives me an error and i can't find it in PLUGINS. And ofc i am not sure if the profile it self is the problem or GB2, are u using private profiles and have no worry?

put zap recorder in the plugins map then in settings tools in the bot at plugins check zap recorder it should work it doesend give any errors for me.

 

ye, i use my own profiles all the time, never use a public one.

I only use private profiles of course. No point of complaining about a ban if you use public profiles... You asked for it then or took the risk.

 

Gathering is still alive, what else should me make money with?
