I was using grindbot and I have no idea how I got banned. It was deep in Jade forest where I had never seen another player myself! Every time that I was checking it out, I had no whispers and nobody had talked to me even in /s. Today I received a 72 hour suspension and I am thinking of appealing it but i am not sure ... So how did Blizzard figure what I was doing if no player reported me?
Before everyone was talking about gatherbuddy bans they were saying that grindbot was unsafe becouse blizzard used to check out the ammount of kills etc. Guess what they still check for that? Basically grindbotting for long periods of time is why you got banned.
Hmm so did i get autobanned by a Blizzard program or something? Should I bother appealing it? To be fair and completely honest, I was just grinding with my mage for the last 4 days. I was babysitting it but I was doing other things and never bothered doing anything else.

If you want the account back it's worth a try if they do give it back they will likely be watching it so don't bot too much on it.
Hard to tell right now I used to be botting hard but I recently today started up my bot for the first time private profile after 2-3 hours of farming I got teleported so right know you never know but I will have to continue botting becouse I payd my accounts and I will make a loss if i don't do anything aswell. Eh for a casual botter most likely keep grinding and gb2 to a minimum of a few hours a day 1-2 questing shoulden't matter how long you do it aslong as you monitor it but botting has a banrate unfortunately so you could be unlucky enough to get banned anytime.
sooo you grinded for 4 days worth of levels... and you wondered how you got caught? this is almost the same as the people using GB2 for 24/7 n posting 400+ auctions lulz
Yeah with that ban email it seems that an actual GM looked into your account probably because you grinded out 4 levels. Which in theory probably flagged your account for a GM to look into it. A automatic ban email looks slightly different, luckily you got a 72 hr so I wouldn't fight it. Bot smarter next time.
I have botted nearly everything: auction house, grind, gb2, questing...on my main account and 5 other accounts simultaneously. No V P N, same computer. 100% AFK and sometimes as long as a week without a break. I have never had my account banned for botting. I have botted for over 2 years. If I could, I'd slap you for laughing at him. He's being honest and that is what helps our community. This is not a place for you to "lulz". Also what kind of a pussy ass laugh is lulz anyways.

I'm not here to brag, if i wanted to do that I'd have a signature like our friend there with all the things I've gotten through botting. If you want proof I'd have to show you either my armory or screenshots, you are getting neither. My point is comments like that seriously tick me off, and like I said, this is no place to be laughing at eachother for our mistakes. Don't believe me? I don't care. I'm not here to lie to make myself look good. No one here even knows me IRL to begin with lol...and never will...which is why I've never understood why some people lie to make themselves look good in this (and other) forum(s).
Anyways, @OP thanks for being honest...and it's a 72 hour ban, luckily not perma. Whether you contest it or not is up to you but regardless, lay low for a while would be my advice. You can still bot, but be careful.
BTW I'm browsing the ban section because...well...I got banned about an hour ago on my main account and haven't recieved an e-mail lol...I'm scared to death (every time I get banned) that it's because of botting and that it's a permanent ban.
