Hello, like many of you I use gatherbuddy2. When MOP launched farming herbs and ores were insane. I rushed through many characters to 90 just to be able to fly farming. I didn't give a shit about the game content, it was a rush to earn solid gold. Hell, I even leveled a couple of 90s PURELY from mining/herbing exp on a ground mount. The spawn rate of herbs were insane, fools cap were everywhere in dread wastes and every stack of ore went for 150g each. Good things don't last and Blizzard eventually hit the node spawn with the nerf hammer. But this is the thing about ban rates. Why are gatherbuddy ban rates so high now? You could leave gatherbuddy on for hours last time. I think the main reason why is because of Botters reporting botters. If bossland would reveal the surge of HB keys being bought since launch of MOP/end of dragonsoul it would really help reinforce my suspicion. This new generation of botters are retarded selfish fucks. I've seen many a buddy on this forum claiming they report botters despite being a botter themself. Think about it, the surge of botters rise dramatically way faster then cataclysm. On my realm I notice during cata the prices of herbs and ores drop drastically ONLY during dragonsoul. Prior to that, prices were pulling their weight of 100g or more per stack. Until the last moments of cata do then prices drop to a pathetic 10g/stack for elementium ore. Sure, MOP is around the corner of course cata mats prices will drop you say. Okay true, thats a solid argument, now lets look into how fast prices drop during MOP. Prices start during MOP launch at 200g a stack as usual for just launched expansion, everyone scrambling to farm mats. I myself sold saronite at that price too during WOTLK launch. Then it quickly dwindled. and before the 5.1 daily patch even released, the prices of ore dropped to 40g/stack. Its currently 45g/stack on my realm. And thats before 5.1 dropped. Elementium ore stood their ground until end of dragonsoul and the death of cata. Ghost iron dropped before the first patch launched. How many of you received a "reported" whisper from another player while gathering in VOTFW or w/e area during the early days of MOP? And how many of you then tracked down the person who whispered you and find out he is also a bot flying on the same public profile doing the stupid obvious HB mount movement ( move back, fly up, move left ) and then he hasnt been online since MOP launch with full ungemmed 458 PVP gear? I have. Many a times I've received this whisper and found out he too is a buddy and it pisses me off. If you guys think this is some "psychological" warfare where you can scare off other botters by actually reporting or pretending to you are just destroying your own market because trust me, somewhere out there a douche is doing the same to you. This mentality has to stop. And to those who claim GB2 is detected, its not. I myself have been using GB2 in very limited amounts of 30mins in parts. I run it about 6 times a day with a scheduler. And I haven't got banned. I am a profile writer myself, making private profiles and a GB2 profile is one of the EASIEST SHIT ever to make. All you need are node hotspots, a mailbox and a repair vendor to fly to if needed plus some blackspots if you want. Its THAT easy. TL;DR Set "Don't ninja nodes" in bot config on and don't whisper "reported" to buddies thinking you're hot shit.
lol i always use ninja node i wont let another botter steal my mine herbs but i do use my own perfect profiles why should we disable ninja noding and you dont? but ye i never whisper any other botter they cant whisper me neither im using badboy. but no other botter would scare me of im botting 7 or 8 years now first glider afther glider got died by blizzard then i was using hb since the beta.
I don't really know what ur trying to achieve posting this but we all pretty much know people reporting other ppl is a problem which won't be fixed so why make a post about it the last ones reading and listening to it are the ones you're trying to reach.
We need codex of bots. Or just write somewhere on main page single simple rule 'Bot will never report that another bot botting.' May be just add this at your sigh at forum.
they should make something in the bot if another botter reports one in game he should get a perma ban on the honorbuddy bots
I have never received a message from someone saying they are reporting me. Am I just lucky or are the people too lazy to say it?
Im botting myself and everytime I see another who acts suspicious I'll report them and whisper them. I know its very selfish.
Gj banning that douche! Well I don't think it's player reports tbh. I think there is a script they run and as soon as they see you gathering for too long every day, they will just ban you. Can't imagine how else they could get over 15+ accounts of me banned. They are highly customized, nothing public except for the bot and 2 plugins was used.
I think that its really pathetic of people that bot to report other botters, its not like they will get more herbs/mines as there will always be a lot of them anyway. I just got banned cause of a player report by an other botter that used the same profile as me. "he /w "reported" and i saw him fly the exact same rout as me while also having sharp turns. Lost my Swift spectral and looremaster title ... back to botting on a new account, gonna get it all over again! as swift spectral's have dropped to like 300-400k on EU. Even tho he reported me i still don't report him cause its fucking mean to report fellow botters.
A word regarding "ninja nodes": If you're using public profiles it's stupid as the bot will try to gather another bots node, fail as the other one was faster, be late on the next one just to have the same repeat over and over again. Private profiles are an entirely different story as turning it on avoids skipping nodes just because another botter is near you and you skill might be the first to gather it. All in all it's way more efficient to take those 20 minutes to make your own profile, but if you don't then rather leave ninja nodes turned off.

Agreed, on both points. I have a feeling it's only a forum ban. I once stated these people need to have their keys revoked. My post was deleted by a mod...
but i never report botters like others do i might be ninja noding because evryone els does it to. the ninja node option is there to use it or els it wouldnt be there
