Hello fellow Buddies, at long last i finished my Northrend Herbing route. This route will take your character over the entire continent of northrend in a clockwise direction. You start in Borean Tundra, move north through Sholazar, then skim the northern edge of Icecrown to Storm Peaks, where you do one or more loops before going south to Grizzly Hills and Howling Fjord. The following zones are not covered by this route: Wintergrasp, Zul'Drak, Dragonblight, and most of Icecrown. I found that these zones severely hampered productivity by not having enough herbs to be worth the travel, getting my character killed too much, and in Dragonblight's case got the character stuck on trees/walls too much to make worth farming. There are three versions of this route, Northrend Herb just goes around once, however Double Storm goes through Storm Peaks twice before continuing and Triple Storm goes three times. choose what works best for you, i created them for different balance between adders tongue/goldclover and lichbloom/icethorn. PLEASE NOTE: if you run into a spot where you are getting stuck or the bot looks awkward (running into a wall every pass, etc) i would apreciate if you could post here what exactly is going on and the COORDS from ingame, so i can pinpoint the issue. as an afterthought, i will eventually create new farming routes like this for 85, but not ASAP because i like to get some decent profit under my belt before i have five people running the same circuit on my realm.
thanks tony, yes it really is big. if you see the waypoint density is different in stormpeaks/grizzly, i was recording at 1750ms. earlier in sholazar and borean i was recording at 2500ms but had to adjust corners alot. there are 1557 waypoints and i edited each and every one of them in notepad while fine tuning, i hope it works well for the community. I also forgot to add, I build this by going one zone at a time and then linking them all together, so if anyone wants an individual zone route for some reason i can put them up.
I think I just came. Thanks, testing this right now. *edit* Working so far I almost expected it to crash on load lol. It's to bad my druid is 63...... new thing to bot if this works perfectly.
this is a total noob question, ive looked in the tuts and manuals but i coudnt find anything... I normally use HB but now im on to GB, how do you get the badnodes to work? are they supposed to be in xml format? because when i load them in GB i get an error message. thanks in advance
you dont load the badnodes file into GB, it just stays in the same folder as BG on your computer, eventually it will build up a list of problem nodes that it cant get to. Hausi, theres only about a dozen or so bad nodes so far, mostly just things under ledges. didnt seem worth uploading because it will just sort itself out soon enough.
here you go Pan, if you need any more stuff just let me know, im alot better at GB routes than HB profiles, and i owe you after getting my kurenai done over a weekend. the Storm Peaks route starts and ends in the bottom left of the map, west of K3 and just east of the Argent Vangaurd in Icecrown.
Tried it out, pretty good, but Jotunheim in Icecrown seems to be a problem area, would got stuck once in the water by the water elementals, and after getting my player out (had to do it myself), they bugged out in combat by targeting a neutral quest npc instead of the thing attacking me. Would of died had I not been right there. But other than that one small area, the rest of the route was flawless, no deaths at all, and I've only been running this for a few hours so those few problems might of just been flukes.
Perhaps you should include each zone's profile as a seperate download so you don't have to do it for every person who asks for a specific zone = )
Alright, one more thing to add, the route also keeps trying to grab herbs from this area where I'm at on the map, they are very closes to the edge and have led to me falling to my death like a half dozen times, http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/3530/wowscrnshot091410003650.jpg
love it! the Jotunheim water area aint a problem for me as im a dk, and the mobs arnt agressive so combat wont drop path of frost. Scholazar trees are always an issue on any profile but less so on this one. Been running for a about 14 hours now in total, got some movement badnodes but only two that ive added myself, one for water with agressive mobs drops path of frost causing me to be stuck and one was a really hard to land on node that caused me to die so i badnoded it just to be safe - will include them now Code: <bad_location><name>tiger lily</name><waypoint>4173.93 -1922.23 201.225</waypoint><comment>water</comment></bad_location> <bad_location><name>ice thorn</name><waypoint>8382.422 -874.127 888.2003</waypoint><comment>long drop</comment></bad_location>
You will aggro the elite mobs to the east of stormpeaks if you do not have the hodir faction. My feral druid was able to hand 2 of them at once so it was no problem running the profile on that character. My warlock however died a few times so I blacklisted a lot in that area for when I run him through it.
