So DEVS , Are you going to fix Buddywing ?

As the title says, Are you going to fix this bot to work ? Rather than just updating it to work with the latest patch ?

Cause as it is, IT DOES NOT WORK, AND IS VERY FRUSTRATING !

A bot is suppose to automate the game. All this automates is a few minutes, and then needs restarting !

And ye, you can sense hostility, because I am totally fed up of having to restart all these bots, every 5 or 10 minutes. I might as well just play the damn game, It would be better than this !

 

This bot is getting worse after each patch.

 

I have been up all night trying to figure this out. If I click start on my profile the bot runs to the first mob fights, then stands there. If I click stop then start again the bot will then run to the next mob, fight and stand still again. This is the same profile I ran today over and over with no issues. I thought it was because of me and my profile I wrote but the same it happening if I run Mizzle's profiles as well.........

 

At this very moment, the navigation server is down, so that would explain the lack of movement. You can normally tell by finding the following in your log:

Thank You for letting me know I'll keep working on little things within my profiles until the Nav server comes back up. I knew it had to be something like that, I'm sure you folks are working away at it.

yeah 384 was kinda working OK but 385 and 386 is just :/

I am having big problems today, yeah i know NAV was down, but now its up, bot not clicking revive, moving weird while in fights, long delays between fights and selecting mobs, 5-15 sec, enough for few white mobs to kill him

restarted over 14 times in last 6 hours

 

Can we please get a ETA when this bot is going to actually work properly then ?

 

I was having an issue with the default routine, switched to a custom one and everything was working fine.

IMO, general complaint threads without logs really aren't helpful; the team here will need full logs attached and detailed descriptions of each issue in order to help. One forum post per user/issue would probably make these problems easier to address.

No point posting the log, The DEVS can just use the bot and use there logs.
The bot does not work, for any length of time. It just stands around.
This isn't just happening to one or two people, its happening to most.

There is totally NO POINT in using this bot the way it is. It actually slows down playing. You might as well just play the toon yourself.
And they certainly should NOT be selling the bot.

 

Up until recently I would have said I'd rather have the bot in it's current state than not at all but after 2.1 I'm inclined to strongly agree with Tum. I don't think I'm going to renew when my sub is up unless the bot has improved.

My bot managed to successfully farm 35k credits while I was at work before it crashed. That's about 30 minutes of functioning time before it crashed. It's getting better slowly, but this is seriously starting to get silly. I posted the log in my logs thread in support. I'm going to keep updating that every day for all my crashes.

 

First off the bot works. I have had issues at times but this is Nav server related. I have used adude's current stable routine works fine. Also how does this slow down playing when you aren't playing the game? If you are using profiles that are ancient and pre 2.0 don't be crying. Just because lately its been hanging up since 2.1 you can't out of no where demand they shut down everything because it doesn't meet your needs. Sorry if the world listened to stupid consumers like you half the products wouldn't exist because it didn't work how you hoped. Yea bot has its issues but can you do better? Don't waste your time or hate here until you can do else wise.

 

When I mean slowing down playing, I mean because its took 2 days to get a jedi consulor from 1 to 8, I could play it in about 1.5 hours and get that. So pretty pointless using the bot, Its slows down the game by using it.
All the DEVS here do, is update the offsets when a patch comes out, They never spend anytime improving the bot at all.
This bot should be getting constant updates and improvements, not just offset updates.

And yes I do have a few bots myself that I have written, one is for this game. For doing something else. And yes its running perfect, And when it starts having errors I constantly update it. And I constantly add stuff to it, to make it better. If this was my bot that's what I would be doing. Especially if I was getting an income from it.

 

They are not making any real income off buddywing. Not that many people use it. Cool story about you making a bot since if it was true you wouldn't even be posting nonsense here crying. You would really know that this game is a pile of shit and that is the main issue BW has problems. I will agree the DEV team doesn't spend much time on BW but why would they? It doesn't have the amount of people using it like their other bots. Also will fill you in a secret about thebuddybots. Almost all add-ons are not done by the DEVS but the community behind it. If you can code so awesome go figure out whats up.....

 

If you won't do a simple thing like post a log then you don't deserve any help. This isn't a universal problem-- my bot runs just fine and never crashes.

 

This bot is not open source, so dont try and make out it is.

Yes I know this game is a pile of shite, but if your gonna sell a bot, you actually make sure it works.

 

You seem like a liar. Please stop posting on the forums. Any one who knows how to code would actually post something that's intelligent and not a rage post. Also when you can type sentences that actually have complete conjunctions get back to me. You don't know how to program. I'd love to see your "bots"!

 

We'll have to agree to disagree about this. The bot will never work flawlessly because the game coding is a spaghetti filled nightmare with changing memory locations.

Regardless, after a start or two, I can usually keep my bots running for a few hours or more. Doing this with multiple bots allows me to earn credits at a rate which makes me a nice sum of real money on the side. None of this would be possible without BW, so for me, this grind-a-bot is well worth what is being charged. I come out way ahead, so it's just simple economics.

As stated a few times above, the team here does try to address issues if you give them enough to work with, and these issues can vary. If you're not willing to post constructively with your full logs, then you really have no reason to complain.
