      it all comes down to personal responsibility. if there was a beta (and there's not) and we say its possibly unsafe. then you assume that risk by downloading and using it. right now that's not the case.

      Sucks soooo bad when you come to rely on this as a heroic raider and then can't raid on a damn Tuesday! Lol.

      Asking out of sheer curiosity, and I'm sure it's been asked before, but.... the testing/modifications that are made on patch day - is it not possible to work this stuff out on the PTR prior to go-live? Just curious.

      Hi, C3018T,

      Yes, much effort is placed into PTR investigation and its used as a "head start". Alas, believe it or not, the code that is shipped frequently differs from what is shown on PTR. PTR is largely used for 'game balance' issues. Any special surprises they have in store for our Community are 'held out' until release day.

      So, you never know what WoWclient changes are going to be present until release day. This causes offsets and sometimes internal data structures to change.

      HBdevs are not fools putting things off until the last minute. But, WoWclient patch day is frequently 'day 1' for formal analysis purposes because of the way things are done.

      Will be like last time, a patch every day to patch the bugs they patched into the game with the big patch.

      Not to mention the 99 little Ninja patches blizzard will most likely throw at the HB dev team over the next week or so (obviously not aimed at breaking HB but nevertheless ending in the same result) causing them to have to keep tweaking it to keep it going.

      I've had HB for a while but only recently begun trying to really utilize it. When I saw how much better dps I could get from my warlock using Singular I was astounded. This post is just my little way of saying thank you since I can't afford to donate at this time.

      This is the first real explanation I have seen. China you should post this as a sticky for a few weeks somewhere.... with that said I've never been one to beat myself or HBdevs up over the patching process here in the forums. I appreciate all the hard work and dedication they put into keeping all of us playing wow and enjoying the hell out of sitting at the top of the damage meters while I feed my kid or changea diaper!!!

      Kudos for the great response to us.
