So I lost one account 1 month ago for botting and I was using bot for over 3-4 months everyday. Well shit happens I thought. I got automated responses from blizzard abount this account. Game Over. Later that day I got another account and started playing from scratch. I there was using bot only for battlegrounds and gathering no more then 2h per day. I am safe - that was my first reaction but today I got banned again for using bot. I wondered how it is possible. I used it carefully and very little. Before it was almost 24/7. So I wrote a ticket. And answer shocked me and was nothing I could suspect Blizzard of doing. It appears that Blizzard is monitoring our Windows Task Manager if WoW client is running it gives them access to this. So if there is any kind of process with filtered name like honorbuddy.exe or mrfishit.exe they probable will ban you like me. This is the copy of oryginal message i recieved from Blizzard Game Master.
Or maybe you got banned because you were botting on an IP that you had already been banned for botting on.
nope, it could be the case in some cases but I was away with laptop for 2 weeks and was playing from different IP and from different city and used bot only then. I got back yesterday and played normal for few minutes to check auctions and went sleep. And today after patch I was banned. Anyway as I quoted in my first post, GM told me that it is possible for them to scan computer for illegal software so is there really a difference what IP it was?
Maybe it was because you were botting BG? = 99% chance of Ban.... Nearly anyone who plays BG legit reports every single bot they see (and it is pretty damn easy to tell whos botting and whos not in BG). Read around before you chose gather, grind, quest, or run BG's. You should always know why and how often people are getting banned using any given botting method. Clearly you did not read around = Ban
Botting BG is a fast way of building up player reports. and this is from both sides! BGBuddy is almost non-afkable but that's the risks, BGBuddy is highest risk atm so you take the chance.
10v10 wsg, entire team using hb with " following biggest friendly pack " all running in circles in middle. Epic lulz
The 'follow the biggest pack' is the exact reason BGBuddy is so dangerous. Needs a new method of movement TBH.
