Walter's Waltz Combat Routine This is a combat routine that was first based off a highly modified version of Wing-It done by Joe Brewski because of his love for Mercs! I would like to accredit him for such a great base and for all the time he spent working on this project. The list below are the few people who have worked on this: (if I missed any one else sorry in advance) Community Driven Project to Save Buddy Wing! PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD ON TOPIC OF THE COMBAT ROUTINE! IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER COMMENTS THAT DO NOT CONTRIBUTE DO NOT POST HERE PLEASE! This Self Automated Combat Routine Designed for Farming/Leveling your character from Level 1 to 55! UPDATED 6/8/13 FULL AUTO STIM AND MEDPACK SUPPORT FOR ALL CURRENT CLASSES! Special Thanks to: Fearless Leader (Aevitas) Wing-it Team jnp Ama Jests tomit12 aquintus xtreme3881 Xanathos Current main developers of this routine are jnp and walter. If you have any questions please direct them accordingly. If you would like to contribute in any POSITIVE way please just post below! Below are two builds to choose from. We have our STABLE BUILD and our TEST BUILD. The test build is updated daily with changes as the stable build is updated weekly after testing. If you want the MOST CURRENT COMBAT ROUTINE you will want the TEST BUILD. After downloading the "Default Combat" folder via SVN just move that folder into the main Buddywing "Routines" folder and you will be good to go! how do I turn off the use of xp boosts? Also on the scoundrel scrapper routine its using blaster volley a lot on single targets, and not using sucker punch at all
Open routines/joes/MercHelper.cs. Find your spec (in this case ScrapperCombat) function. Put "//" infront of if (!MyBuffs.Contains("Experience")) UseXpBoostInInventory("experience"); or just delete the line.
Another alternative is to send your XP boosts to yourself in mail and they will just sit there till you need them. Or put them in a vault while ur botting. Whichever.
Just wanted to let you know dorandomgrind is working beautifully on test build! Finnally a good way to lvl republic toons past 35.
It looks like we have two different builds completely for Scrapper/COncealment. One is written by Aquintis and the other is tagged as needing a rewrite(scrapper). So I'd say we are wrong in assuming it is tested. It should be listed as Working but needs UPDATING! I'll get on my operative sometime today and test aquintis concealment contribution. If there aren't any issues i'll mirror it over.
You guys didn't happen to take out the random grind toggle did you? Because after all the old posts in the thread were deleted I did an svn update on the test build and toggling isn't working now...was really enjoying it hope there's just something I'm missing
I haven't heard about this random grind toggle... but it sounds like something I'm interested in. What is it exactly?
It's there. Try deleting your CompiledAssemblies folder in buddy wing. Then make sure you pull the test build from the SVN and replace your routines folder with the contents. Make sure SWTOR has focus when you press the "End" key to toggle it. 1) Update your defaultcombat folder with the CC from our test build. 2) load up a blank profile like Combat.xml 3) Go to an area where a vendor is close to a pack of mobs. 4) press the "End" key. It enables Joe's scripts that we just got functional that allow you to just grind w/o a profile. Lot less buggy.
my character keeps throwing itself into this random grind thing when it's suppose to be running quests... how do i stop that?
Could you drop me a log. Make sure you hit "END" and that it says its toggled off in your log pane. Other than that the bot has always run off and killed more than it needs to while questing. That's a BW targetting provider thing I believe. Is it not executing the profile at all?
Ty jnp I'll try it... and fragley have swtor on focus (Have swtor window open) and press the end key on your keyboard... check log it should say random grind toggled: OFF ( In which case it was on before). May not be random grind either... Might be just killing mobs it sees on way to quest.
Was just in voice with a guy trying to get randomGrind to work for him. Ended up he had to jump start it to kill the first mob by targeting it manually. Guess it just needed to kick off combat the first time.
My understanding was that this was how it functioned, kind of like you had to tell the bot what you wanted it to kill and then it just goes with it. Also that has some to do with using the combat bot. like, Having grind toggled on and kicks combat bot loaded as current profile, and combat bot requires you to target something for it to kill. Then after that, the randomgrind does IT'S part.
Amill411, I have recoded both scrapper and concealment. Please give them a try and leave me feedback.
I just did some more updates to these. Let me know how it goes. If this works I can do deception/infilration too.
Okay did a little testing and it's acting kinda funny. Here's a clip from the log, seems to be spamming Vital Shot quite a bit and I've only seen one Sucker Punch so far. It is however using Back Blast every now and then. Cool cool. Took some work. Im not very knowledgeable about using aoe with that spec. Do you use xs flyby and grenade a lot or not at all etc. Wasnt sure so i have them running rather minimally
Usually the only AOE I use is Thermal Grenade, pretty much whenever it comes off cooldown as long as there are multiple mobs. The rotation I usually use goes kinda like this. Stealth -> Back Blast -> Blaster Whip -> Vital Shot (for bleed procs) -> Sucker Punch -> Thermal Grenade This will change of course once I have Shoot First, then it will go between Stealth and Back Blast Also my character is only level 34 so I don't have Flyby yet.
