Obviously new here, Understand they are still working on it, and i am truly surprised how fast they update the bot! ++ for that! but i was just wondering, when the new bot does come out, do we just re-download the whole thing all together ( i assume an updated version ) or is there just an update link that will be included with release or auto update with the bot! any quick answer helps im just new here
Honorbuddy has a built in autoupdater when a new version comes out that should run on its own, but if that gives you any problems, most people will advise downloading from the site and either manually overwriting your old files (dont forget to rename new honorbuddy.exe!) or to start with a fresh install in a new folder. I would suggest a fresh install. I never use the autoupdater because it can cause more problems than it's worth.
The auto-update feature should be fine to use. When the update is released, open HB with WoW. HB will give an error saying you've selected a wrong WoW instance (like it's doing now) and within a few seconds prompt you to update.
Most problems coul?d be solved by deleting the settings folder, if there are any. Of course it?s no bad idea to have an extra folder for your routines, plugins and custom classes if that is not enough and you need a fresh installation. its a good time to update everything via svn and have a complete fresh installation. I have ca 90% no problems with auto updater, 5% solved with deleting the settings folder. Rest I do a fresh installation.
