WTF, now Blizzard also checks if the owner of a wow account before 2009 (non Battlenet account) is identical with the owner af the battlenet account. Since when they are doing that ? We are writing to inform you that we have, unfortunately, had to suspend your World of Warcraft account pending an investigation. Battle.net Account Name: xxxxxx@xxxxx.xx World of Warcraft Account Name: yyyyyy Consequences for Account: Account Suspension In order to validate your account ownership, please reply to this ticket and provide the following: - A scan or digital image of nationally recognised photo ID, such as passport or drivers license (please do not include public transport cards, library cards etc, as these are unsuitable for our needs). Please create a new support ticket through the Blizzard Customer Support Website (https://eu.battle.net/support/en/ticket/submit) with your newly created Battle.net account, and provide us with the following information: - Battle.net Account Name: The current account name (email address) you are using to login. - Name: The full name that the account was created with. - Confirmation that you agree to have your original Battle.net account e-mail changed to that of your newly created account (your newly created Battle.net account will be disabled as a result). - New Secret Question and Answer in the form of a text document file as an attachment. - A scan or digital image of nationally recognised photo ID, such as passport or drivers license (please do not include public transport cards, library cards etc, as these are unsuitable for our needs) as an attachment. After i sent them all information what they need from my battlenet account, i received the following The name on the ID does not match the details that were originally registered on the WOW Account. While these requirements may seem overly strict, we consider it to be of vital importance that accounts are claimed by their rightful owner. As such, these measures are necessary. As such, I'm afraid that we cannot assist you further with this.
man this really sux. Couldnt you complain via phonecall that your registered it previously under a bogus name, just so to protect your privacy?
omg what a comment. How old are you ? i asked a question and now i should do what i would make when i would be 12 years old.
ty for that link. it doesn?t help me to get my account back, but its helping me to understand what Blizzard changed :/
Whos account is this? Was this your account that you made under a different name? Was it a friends account? If I know that I can better help you possibly find a solution.
it was my battlenet account and a wow account before 2009 (no battlenet account) from one that i don?t know. merged it, leveled a char to 90, 1 week later they banned me, regarding the above listed reason
Did you buy the account? Was it something set up by a friend? Did you set it up under a random name for whatever reason? I understand you may not know what name was on the account but surely you must know of how you acquired it? I really am trying to help, I apologize if it comes off as anything otherwise.
bought this acc like i did it more than 50 times in the past and never anything happened like this. Anyway ty4 trying to help me, but the link above shows whats different now. i am omw to get this account back, will let u know when i get this acc back and how it was possible.
The comment earlier about having to contact them to merge it is now out of date and it is available on the website. To the OP I have received that email about 50 times before as a previous buyer of SOR accounts my last set this week got banned within 8 hours and all they did was log in and use kicks to level from 80 to 82/3 In short SOR is wank they ban them very quickly even if you aren't botting BG/gathering.
