I bought Honorbuddy a few months back because I was really tired of grinding and questing. It worked like a charm, and now have several characters close to 80. Up till now I haven't really botted seriously. So now I am looking to try something different. I have read on the forums about lots of people making a little or even a lot of money from botting. Mostly I hear about people selling gold. So if I were to do that, what would be the best thing. Buying Gatherbuddy? Buying a second account for farming and getting a character up to 80 with HB? Is there any money in botting a character to 80, gearing it, and then selling that account? What would be the best way to get started.
Making money with leveling is pretty hard, since most of account-buyers are looking for high-end geared toons (6KGS+), but, still possible, if you have good contacts on ur realm, you can get some ICC rush, BUT, this is going to involve peoples in your "business".
So, selling gold would probably be the best way if I want to make money? I figured as much. I really have no idea how to get started.
Making money would be the fastest and easiest way to make real life $$ but it is risky you have to be careful on who you sell too, and how you sell it. Do some research about selling gold, read reviews on MMOowned about selling gold and company's. That is what I did and I learned a lot, I did a lot of research in that area it helped. I completely reccomend you getting GB and start farming you should be safe if you farm like 10 hours a day at the most, do dungeons, and quests, daily's. Make yourself look as human as you can.
if you can get a good profile that is safe when cata comes out you could probably make some good money at the start selling newly dinged level 85s. Just an idea
which reminds me that we have to pay $40.00 just to level up 5 more levels then are good geared level 80's become shit because blizzard added new dungeons and gear. so it's like we pay $40 just to start all over, we had to do it when BC came out and WoTLK came out not its Cata I mean shit. I hate when they come out with new expansions pay all this money just to start over and over again.
to be honest you want to treat it like any business. Reinvest your money expect losses etc. If you can run 4x wow accounts on your pc then you need to also take into account electricity and internet. The best business plan in my opinion is botting your current 80 to gather then selling the gold and using that gold once you have enough to buy your first 2x vanilla wow keys. While those 2 vanilla accs are lvling you can probably farm easily another 80k of gold which will buy you your second expansion to get them to 70 and also another 2x wow keys. Lvl the 2x new wows and the bc wows whilest still botting on your 80 then once the vanillas and BCs ding buy your self the expansions etc untill you have 5x accounts at 80 and botting. If you can bot 8k a night thats roughly $20 per bott = $100 x 7 = $700. Also keep in mind that your 700 will need to minus the time and possible bans. So if you allocate $ 20 a week for this for 'costs' then you should always be right. Maybe even once ur making enough reinvest some of it in a pc for 800 ish that can handle another 4-5 wows and repeat the process. I hope I helped !!
Ive thought it out etc but as of yet I havnt put the plan into action. I currently only bot for personal reasons. Aslong as you have a 'plan B' so to speak if your account is banned then your all good really. Might be even worth having a few backup accounts.
Yeah right now i am farming myself to make up a quick 12k gold so I can get another account I found a website were I can trade gold for CD keys

I am about to retire my ONLY account from botting so I can keep it as a legit account from now on. I have 1 lvl 60, 2 toons in the 50's and 1 toon at 46. I think it might be time to call it quits for this particular account and just open a new account to bot with and save this one for fun. I would be buying the expansions for the account as soon as I stop botting. I'm thinking I should cease botting immediately and create a new account to just bot like a bat out of hell to sell gold and what not. Sound like a good idea? I think it'll work out great since I love botting, but at the same time I haven't even been able to play the damn game!
Thanks guys. This is all good advise. Now I just have to actually get a couple of chars to 80 so I can farm with them. I have been having nothing but trouble with almost every questing profile I've used, especially the 60-70 and 70-80 ones. I did some research and it seems people who claim to have botted to 80 in under a month use grinding, pvp, or mixed. In your experience, which is the most reliable and fastest?
I used grinding / questing profile from hawker on my dwarf.. got him up to 50 and then wsg call to arms got him to 65 in 2 days.. now just using pvp.. getting used to pvp botting cuz i'll need it to powerlvl from 80 to 85 without having to build new questing / grinding profiles.. This way u got about 100-120 quests completed and than start pvp .. seems a little more human to me than just doing one. Also i already got 15 cardinal rubies wich will give me a head start to the epic flying mount to farm faster ^^
