Sorry, but this makes no sense at all. Malicious Hold isn't an ability... Malefic Grasp? Why would you cast that < 20%? Drain Soul takes over at that point. I need Malefic Grasp in a Bossfight. Pure Rotation don't cast it at a Bossfight... under 20%
Uhh am I missing something? Malefic Grasp; Malefic Grasp - Spell - World of Warcraft

Malefic Grasp [TH="align: right"]Level 90[/TH]

1.5% of base mana [TH="align: right"]40 yd range[/TH]

Channeled Requires Warlock (Affliction) Requires level 42

Binds the target in twilight, causing 856 (+ 80% of SpellPower) Shadow damage over 4 sec. Every 1 sec, when Malefic Grasp deals damage, it causes all of your other periodic Affliction damage effects to instantly deal 50% of their normal periodic damage.

Drain Soul; Drain Soul - Spell - World of Warcraft

Drain Soul [TH="align: right"]Level 90[/TH]

1.5% of base mana [TH="align: right"]40 yd range[/TH]

Channeled Requires Warlock (Affliction) Requires level 19

Drains the soul of the target, causing (417 + $SP * 0.375) Shadow damage every 2 sec and energizing one Soul Shard after it deals damage twice. If the target dies and yields experience or honor, three Soul Shards are energized. Lasts 12 sec. If the target is at or below 20% health when Drain Soul deals damage, it deals 100% additional damage and causes all of your other periodic Affliction damage effects to instantly deal 100% of their normal periodic damage.

Why would you ever want to cast MG at < 20% HP? If the target was healed and went above 20% HP, you'd want to cancel DS and use MG again, and if you're channeling MG and it drops below 20%, you cancel and switch to DS. *Edit* Let's work out damage numbers..... Working on a nice round figure of 20,000 spell power, MG would tick at; 856 (+ 80% of 20,000) = 16,856 per 1 second + 50% of DoT damage. Drain Soul would tick at; (417 + 20,000 * 0.375) = 15,834 per 2 seconds + 100% of DoT damage. Damage from DoTs @ 20k SP.. Corr = 1580 per second Agony = 2740 per second UA = 2528 per second Total = 6848 MG = 16856 + 3424 = 20280 Per Second DS = 15834 + 6848/2 = 11341 Per Second *Edit 2* Didn't take Mastery into consideration.. At 40% Mastery... Corr = 1580 per second * 40% = 2212 Agony = 2740 per second * 40% = 3836 UA = 2528 per second * 40% = 3539 Total = 6848 = 9590 MG = 16856 + 4780 = 21636 per sec DS = 15834 + 9590/2 = 12712 per sec Obviously we'll have lots of shards at < 20% HP so there's a huge buff from being able to nuke with Haunt. Any opinions on this would be welcomed ! Edit 3: When we cast DS we'll nearly always have Haunt active on target. So it would tick for 12712*30% = 16525 per second. If Haunt hits for 36869 on a 1.5s cast, thats 24579 damage in a second, every 8 seconds, effectively 3072 per second. Add that to DS and you've got an effective 19597 per second.
the interface for your new cc looks very promising cant wait to see what it'll be once it's done, since pure doesnt have many configuration options, this could be a big step forward Btw millz, did you read my post about the chaos bolt issue on page 11? it'd be great if you could add a simple setting to force the cc not to spend embers on chaos bolts below X embers in destro spec, i know you are busy working on the new cc, but since I can't use that yet i gotta work with what i have cheers for all the work you are doing for us locks, well appreciated!
@xenn88 (not sure why quote won't work!) That was one of the issues with settings/GUI in Pure. There's limits to what we can do with it being an all-in-one and not making it so overly complicated that people just don't have a clue where to start. Why would you not want to use Chaos Bolts (not disagreeing just wanting to know the reasons)? Is this for PvE or PvP? For PvE it's doing the most optimal method for spending the embers to gain optimal DPS. Also does the highest DPS for PvP too, but doesn't leave any embers stored for a <20% nuke with shadowburn.
Some new GUI screenshots - a lot of this doesn't have any code behind it (other than the actual GUI functioning) - so don't see this as a "wow it's nearly ready" - spending a lot of hours on it, but it's got a hell of a long way to go! Ignore the settings etc, this is just in the editor. My theme on this PC makes boxes look a bit funny too. This enough to keep the PvPers happy?
I've got no real ETA. Not that I don't want to supply one, I just don't know how long it'll take. Coding something like this with such a vast amount of options takes a lot of time. Most of the core is done, movement, targeting etc is all done. Leveling 1-10 is done. I'm working on it pretty hardcore though, progress is coming along at a decent rate.
Not sure to be honest. You'll have to do some research - I'm not PvPing (or actually playing the game at all) until I get this coded.
Affliction imo, I was full malev and with pure rotation I was pulling on par if not more than my buddy who pvps a hell of a lot more than I do. The Dot pressure is insane. Cd's are blown perfectly too for survivability
I want to release it free - I don't like paid CRs. That being said, personal circumstances (i.e. severe lack of money) may force me into it.
I don't know if it's right to post here, but I have a little feedback to PureRotation for my destru warlock: I use PureRation for daylies, LFR and raiding. First is Shadowfury, at my opinion the best T2 Talent, isn't be used from PureRotation. Maybe thats my fault, but all other things are working perfect. Second is Chaosbolt with Grimoire of Sacrifice. At the moment the Chaosbolts are casting sequentially so that most of the time 1 second/tick of the Dot is getting overwritten. So in the burst phase between the chaosbolts it should cast another spell (i.e. Conflagrate, refreshing Immolate) so the dot don't get overwritten.
Chaos Bolt's don't leave a DoT? Not sure if I've missed something here? PR doesn't support Shadowfury. Mortal Coil is better (imo) for raiding, as it's a nice little heal.
