Nice, thanks for the response. Now that inscriptions enchants are worth nothing, I have no idea if farming is still profitable or not, but I'm glad someone is doing something to change how HB works.
Need something that doesn't dismount drop us perfectly on top of the node as well. It's too big a "tell" we are bots.
After reading through the Trello page I'm very anxious to see how this progresses. Lots of very nice ideas being poured into this.
I'm also keen to see how it turns out Is there anything you're keen to see added or functioning? The main thing I'd like to do is implement a completely new flight system, I dislike the way HB's Flightor tries to get unstuck and the way it ascends and descends in a particular way, I think its a dead give away to identify bots. Unfortunately, my skill level is not sufficient to accomplish something like that.
New idea time... multizone farming by node map rotation. As I've mentioned, Farmer Joe does not use profiles, it relies on node maps. Node maps are simply a database of all discovered ore/herb locations in a given zone. Node maps are saved per zone, eg Elwyn Forest, Westfall etc. When you load Farmer Joe you can either specify the node map to load, and it will fly to the location, or you can simply hit the start button it Farmer Joe will load the node map for your current zone. But, getting back to my point... node map rotation; lets say you want to farm in Elwyn Forest, Westfall and Redridge. So you setup (in the UI) the list of node maps you want to use, Slot1: Elwyn Forest, Slot2: Westfall, Slot3: Redridge. Once all of the nodes in the first map (Elwyn Forest) have been visited, instead of starting over from the beginning it then loads the second node map (Westfall), and once that is done it moves on to the next one.... Once its finished the last node map in the rotation it then goes back to the first one and starts all over. This could also load the next node map based on time spent in a zone, being followed by a player for too long or maybe you have harvested X quantity of Y ore/herbs. Its also likely to tie in with the shopping list feature I was talking about a few (dozen) posts ago. It could go something like this: Slot1: Elwyn Forest | Action: Next node map | On Condition: Copper Ore qty > 5 stacks Slot2: Westfall | Action: Next node map | On Condition: Max time 60 minutes Slot3: Redridge | Action: Logout | On Condition: Iron Ore qty > 4 stacks. So what do you think?
simple awesome!!btw, I am farming with my account and gatherbuddy for 2 expansions. And many times I used it for 5-6 hours straight and never got banned. Either I am extremely lucky or because it is my main account and also do tons of other activities in game is the reason I am out of their detect list...I also never inflate the AH..usually I bot only for my professions and rarely post 4-5 stacks of materials to sell. Anyway I am looking forward for Farmer Joe edit: I suppose the navigation is handled my Honorbuddy so the "zig zag" close to the node is also happening to you too?or you found a way to stop it?
Hope that farmerjoe will set up mail recipant to the toon which are set up in the buddysettings i option for save config will be nice (without mail recipant) and all other settings f.ex. zone 1 2 3 dismount distance = 4 security options etc .. but Not the mail recipant why this option? if u have 20,40,60,80 or 100 toons it will be easier to setup one toon and use this ettig for all other toons. Standard save file to C:\settings.xml and load settings from there. The same for node maps, it will be nice, that all sessions can use 1 file instead that every toon get an own nodemap. AHHHHHH and the best idea!!!! Is it possible that Farmerjoe can export the gold standing of the banking toon into an ini or xml file and update that? all toons will be saved in 1 and the same file and user can open the file to check actually gold on the banker?
How about a smart navigation system? For example, let's say you are in Eastern Kingdoms and you load a node map for Northrend. With GatherBuddy2 there's simply no way it will go to Northrend, you have to do it manually. There's a lot of code for navigation in 3cho's instance grind profiles and I believe it's open source. I don't know if this had already been implemented, if that's the case then nevermind. If you need some help with the nav code just hit me up
I was thinking about implement use of portals, transport and such but Phelon's GatherBro has been trying to get this sorted for a while and he is not having much luck. As he is a great many months ahead on his project I may let this feature slide for now. I'm not saying it will never happen, I'm just saying its not a priority for me.
Yes navigation is handled by HB's Flightor. The zig-zag behavior is its unstuck movement, yes, this is still present. But I can't say I've seen this happen when its close to a node.
Yes it will eventually mail items to alts. The mail recipient WILL be saved with the settings for the character. Node maps are global, this has already been discussed. This makes no sense at all. If you want to see how much gold your bank character has then use a WoW addon. Functions like that are not the purpose of the botbase.
phelons professbuddy farm xx of xx profiles have a good use of portals i believe. i mean, its professionbuddycode, but it shouldn't be hard to adapt it..
Is there any way to get into the closed beta Fpsware ? What are the times you are running it per day at the moment?
I believe I mentioned my two-cents on how flightor is one of my worries about farm-botting in one of these earlier pages. That probably seems rather complex though, and maybe a little greedy on our end . However in terms of navigation, I'm surprised they haven't added portals and things to the Nav already. It's weird too because for example the Undercity to/from Silvermoon portal doesn't work with the nav, but a very similar chain of portals used for 1 quest are fully navigable by the bot east of Silvermoon. At this point though I'm not sure what other ideas I could come up with, seeing as how you've covered most of the bases while having a very firm base in nature-bound random gathering.
I hope you have already planned to be able to send various types of objects to different alt like ore to alt1 herb to alt 2 if you already did ignore this mail (thanks for having already thought).
