      No rush as we just appreciate all the hard work u are putting in to this but, any guess on how far we are from seeing a released version or beta version? Thanks again dude!

      I'll be spending some time on this over the next few days. But a public release won't be for at least 1 week.

      Today's progress....

      After making a few changes that unexpectedly broke things for a couple of hours I'm back up and running :)

      When you choose the Node Navigation Type of "Closest" (meaning it will move to the closest node location) you can now specify a minimum distance away. In heavily mapped zones where you have hundreds of nodes its not uncommon to have multiple node locations ~5-50 yards away. What this would do is bounce from node to node to node in a very bot-like behavior. With the specification of a minimum distance, lets say of 450 yards, it will find the closest node location that is no closer than 450 yards.

      Node location proximity removal has been tweaked yet again. This should be a lot quicker. This mean if you're flying to a node location, lets say across the other side of the zone, and you come within 100 yards of another node location it will automatically remove this location from the active list. As you've recently flown past it there is no point visiting this location again so quickly.

      I had a look at AutoAngler2 by Highvoltz and I don't see why I can't rip the entire guts out of this and include the most basic functionality in Farmer Joe, with his permission of cause.

      If anyone else is interested in seeing this feature added let me know. As always, I'm not going to spend hours on a feature when no one is going to use it.

      Why not? If I were gathering by hand I would harvest it over and over again. People are lazy and will harvest the closest nodes. Human or not :)

      Also if anyone is interested to know, over the last 2 weeks I've been doing some extreme online testing with Farmer Joe. I'm actively trying to get 2 accounts banned, but so far they are still running.

      I've been running 2 accounts online for as long as possible, the longest single session only was ~30 hours. If they disconnected I would reconnected them immediately. Both characters were farming multiple zones, MoP (The Jade Forest, Vot4W, Dead Wastes), te other was in Northrend (Sholazar Basin, Ice Crown, Stormy Peaks). Both were set to Randomly AFK every 25-55 minutes for a min 4 minutes. One character mailed goods to a bank alt (on the same account) and the other simply destroyed everything it harvested. Both used Randomly selected node locations; this saw each character crossing zones incredibly frequently, I've recently changed one of these to use the closest node location which sees it only moving to the next zone every 30-60 minutes.

      Its been over 2 weeks now since I started this experiment and I'm rather surprised they have not been banned yet. I'm going to continue running them like this for another 2 weeks, or until they get banned. I'll let you know how it goes :)

      I didn't make myself clear on this behavior.

      If there is something spawned at this location it will harvest it of cause. But if there is nothing there when it passes the location it won't visit it again too quickly. This way it covers more ground and explores more of the zone. As with all my work, you can enable and disable this feature as you wish.

      don't think there is much interest for that, the one who wants to farm ... want to farm not to fish!

      not that much people who will stay on a fishing school when there is a node ;), or that will stop farming for a fishing school.
      the only feature (which is also in GBro i think) i could imagine is something like the rare hunter / killer but same here ... this has nothing to do with farming and u have to include all the fight logics (well most of the combat logic is handled by the CR and u'll only need the avoid part) for the rares (interrupting, avoiding ground effects and so on)
      or a feature like pet battles (only for pets u don't own), but same here ... there is a plugin for that, that works, and it is very hard to adapt the work to be implemented in farmer joe (sure some people will like it to see it in there, but then they should use the plugin!!!)

      the fishing is (in my opinion, and i'm not a hardcore farmer) a useless feature for a farming botbase
      there should be a better support for mixing botbases like these... for example...
      why not mixed mode with FJ and AA2 ? FJ flies around for farming and AA2 kicks in when a school in range?
      advance the mixed mode to support more combinations of bots (not only more botbase, NO more combinations) like:
      - MainBotBase FJ (farming)
      - SecondBotBase AA2 (for fishing on our way AND ONLY ON OUR WAY to the next node (herb/ore))
      - ThirdBotBase ArchBuddy (for doin archy on our way if we cross any area for that)
      - FourthBotBase WhoKnows (yeah who knows ... something like DungeonBuddy, BGBot, whatever)
      well this would be the "perfect world", but currently not possible, cause all of the botbases should have a more consistent way of interacting with each other and so (damn this is gone too much off topic, sorry for that FPS)

      On another note, and using FJ, what would be the safest settings to run it? Randomization factor? Collection of nodes within x yds? I saw a few screenshots, and there are a lot of options to choose from! Awesome!

      Tonight's progress.

      After 5 minutes work I now have Farmer Joe working as a secondary bot in Mixed Mode with AutoAngler2. Basically, when there are no fishing pools around it will farm herbs/ore, when there is a fishing pool AA2 kicks in.

      EDIT: If anyone can show me how to pragmatically locate an Archeology area I'll do the same for AB.

      I like reading stormchasing posts - great ideas!

      I like having the flexibility - and the option creates randomization. The choice is nice.

      Based on Storm's ideas what I'd like to do is dynamically load AB or AA2 in mixed mode based on the presence of the appropriate resource (arch area in the current zone, or a fishing pool nearby). But this is something I'd need help with, I don't know how to find a dig site, I'd need to check if this is in your current zone. And then change the mixed mode bot to AB.
