      Both

      3)What profile were you using?:
Migdals Valley of the four winds ghost iron ore profile

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
      Default Warrior

      5)What plugins are you using?:
      -

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?:
      6-10

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?
      20-25%

7)How many auctions per day did you have?:
100 ore auction mixed with other auctions that I had from activities that weren't botted

9)Was your account involved in gold selling?
      Never

      10)EU or US realm?
      US

11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account?
An actual paid account. has been for several years and have spent hundreds of dollars on paid services and extras.

So I got a permanent ban, the first punishment I have ever incurred from Blizzard. Is it worth submitting a ticket in effort to get my account back? if so what information should I include in the ticket? Any tips for writing tickets would be appreciated as is any other contribution you have to put forth in order to help me out! :)

Always appeal, and better paste the ban mail here, so you can get better help.

      Greetings,

A user of the above account has recently been involved in actions deemed inappropriate for the World of Warcraft by the In-Game Support staff of Blizzard Entertainment. This decision was made after a thorough investigation of the situation as a whole.

When a harassment report is made, all players involved in the incident are subject to review, which may result in account penalties. Though we are unable to discuss the outcomes of our investigations due to privacy concerns, rest assured that this incident has been looked into very thoroughly, and the appropriate actions have been taken on all involved accounts.

Any disputes or questions concerning the following account action can only be addressed by Account Administration. To learn more about how Account Administration is able to assist you, please visit us at

      Account Action: Account Closed

      Offense: Unapproved Third Party Software

A third party program is any file or program that is not a part of the World of Warcraft software, but is used to gain an advantage in the game, such as increasing your movement speed or teleporting from one place to another beyond what is allowed by game design. It also includes any programs that obtain information from the game that is not normally available to the regular player or that transmit or modify any of the game files. Normally, this classification does not include UI modifications, except those UIs that require an external application to function. Any external applications that are used in conjunction with World of Warcraft can cause quite a few unwanted side effects. Some of the major possible results of the use of third party programs can be instability of the game to the point that a player "crashes" from the game quite often. External programs can also be used to transmit viruses, spyware, and other unwanted programs into a player's computer. Third party programs can also be used to obtain information from the player's computer, such as account, password, and personal information.

We understand that these policies may seem harsh, but they are in place to ensure that every player is able to fully enjoy their travels in the World of Warcraft. Thank you in advance for respecting our position.

So, you have been clearly reported, indeed. Not for botting, but for harassment, which I suppose include manual investigation by GM, who seems to got the picture.

I dont think its coz of boting. It doesnt mention bot, hack or exploit like in all other pasted blizz mails in other reports.

Open a ticket asking for more details of the ban may cud help.

Seems to me that you were harassing and was player reported then they saw you botting and also nailed you for that as well all I can say is put a ticket in and see if it can be over turned read other bann post to see what people put in tickets might give you a heads up to get your account turned into a 72 hour ban or similar.

This pretty much tells me you got manually investigated. May reduce your chances to get unbanned, but trying is always worth it.

If i was also reported for harassing another player it would have had to have been from 5-6 days prior to the actual ban

I sent the follow to blizzard:
      Hello!
I was just opening this ticket in regards to my World of Warcraft account '********' and the permanent ban that was placed on my account on the 31/07/2013.
In the email sent to me it is claimed that I was using "Unapproved Third Party Software", whilst I am aware that this is a violation of your terms and policies I was wondering if I may I request the details of the unauthorized software in question, in order for me to stay clear from such software in the future and to avoid being in this situation again since I am not clear on why my account was actually ban.
Also considering it is the first offence/warning I have ever encountered and no prior warnings were given I was also curious into why my account was permanently ban instead of contacting me, warning me, or suspending the account first in an effort to prevent a permanent ban being used. I feel as thought a permanent ban may not have been the best solution.
I love this game, have enjoyed many hours playing it, invited many of my friends to come play along with me and spent large sums of money on paid services but right now I feel undervalued as a customer and would appreciate any help that can be given to rectify this problem.
Thank you for your time and I hope to speak to you soon.

      I got this in return

      Greetings,

An additional review of the action has been completed that lead to the closure of the account. After looking into the situation once more I have to report that the initial findings were correct and that the action will not be reversed; the account will remain closed.

We understand that you may still have concerns regarding the action, but we must reiterate that it was taken to address a violation of the Terms of Use and End User License Agreement, which all players accept before logging into the game. This details that a player agrees to not use bots or third party automation software and that the use of such things may lead to account actions up to and including closures.

We understand that these policies may seem harsh, but they are in place to ensure that every player is able to enjoy their time in our games. Thank you for respecting our position.

      Sincerely,
      Blizzard Entertainment

I feel as though this is a general or automatic response given to tickets and am unsure whether or not everything has actually been looked into. Is there anything i can further do to unban my account or should i forget about WoW all together?

I recommend calling them. I recently had an account compromise and after opening 2 tickets to get all the gold that was stolen from me, and receiving the generic responces back through email that said they would not reverse the stolen goods - I finally just called ( I had 250k gold taken away from me). The GM I spoke too could actually put a VOICE behind the player and he could hear my concerns. He investigated it over the phone and was able to rectify my problem.

I think you have a serious case with this being only your first infraction w/ no prior warnings. I would use this to your advantage. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for the advice!
I am unsure if they deal with account bans over the phone though because when you select appeal account ban here https://sea.battle.net/support/en/ticket/submit the phone support button is greyed out. Can anyone clarify if i can contact blizzard via the phone for bans?

You can contact them about anything account related. I would open then ticket through the website, and then call them in regards to the ticket #, so they have something to reference. Good luck and please keep us posted on the outcome!

So i gave blizzard a call and the only help i could get was this guy telling my how to put in a ticket. He said that they were very limited with what they could do over the phone and that he couldn't deal much with bans. I was told that the only way to get a ban overturned is to submit a ticket to the game masters because they are the only ones who have any power to do with bans.
I'm all out of ideas now because all i am getting back from tickets are general responses that all mean "no"

So i have made one last phone call. The guy i got told me there was a permanent note on my account saying it had been reviewed several times and could never be re-opened
Only gets better when you have to buy new copies of the game to make a new account.
      pissed

Go to live chat and make up a sob story.

Make sure to describe what you were doing before you got banned.

For example: "I was farming for crazy hours before I got banned, is there a chance that my account was incorrectly flagged?"

Ask them why they cannot release the information regarding your ban to a customer that has payed over $100. Ask them uncomfortable questions.
