      Introduction

BuddyProwl is a plugin that will send messages to your phone on certain events in-game.

I'm currently coding this plugin for myself, but am nice enough to share it with all of you!

Feel free to post suggestions, I can't promise anything tho, since I'm not that good at coding this kind of stuff. :)

Note: After every new release, it's recommended to check the settings to make sure they are all correct, and then save them again. This is because some settings can get changed or replaced etc.

      What is needed?
      Features
      • Message on whisper
      • Message when people use /say, /yell, /guild and /officer (All messages or only those containing your name)
      • Message on level up
      • Message upon reaching max honor
      • UI to change settings
      Getting Started
      Suggested features
      Changelog
      Known bugs/issues

If you are asking something that is already stated in this post, I will ignore your comment.

For starters, this version is almost exactly the same as BuddyProwl 2.3 found in my previous thread. The only big difference is that this one uses Notifo.

So at the moment it isn't really an improvement, since Notifo only support iPhone. So after I've done some more testing I will release it here, so users can start moving over to Notifo!

Is this a problem? Do you use Prowl for other things?

If that's the case I could probably implement both and let the user decide which one to use.

That would result that the current users can still use the plugin with almost no reconfiguration and that new users can simply start using notifo.

that would be absolutely awesome !

Ye, I use prowl for quite a lot of things. My macbook sends growl messages to prowl when I'm not logged in.
And I use a prowl.pl script on my nagios server at work to send me messages when servers go down or have issues (I dont want to carry the beeper everywhere)..
So I can't rly drop prowl, would be aces if you kept prowl support.

Then I will keep Prowl implemented, there will be an option if you want to use Prowl instead of notifo. Can probably release tonight, if I ever get past authentication!

dude this is an insanely good plugin. congrats on the awesome work. i'd been using the previous version, and was looking at kingreply, just wanting a simple way to be notified of stuff . if you figure out a way to respond to tells (via email would rock) until then also using status center. rock on.

Upgraded to latest version, still using the legacy prowl support.

Cheers for updating it so more people can use it, yet still keeping users of the legacy system happy.
If only more devs were like that.

+rep (as soon as this damn forum will allow me to )

Sadly, there won't be a way to reply, this plugin is only meant to notify the user. Keeping it simple.

And to the others, thanks for the feedback, now I'm a happy dev again :)

Ive installed the plug in, ive got the app on my iPhone, I've clicked Push image, nothing happens.
Ive entered the settings in via the plug in, and ive logged into the app and allowed pushes.

      Have i missed something somewhere?

Try rebooting your phone, if that doesn't work, there's probably something you have done wrong. Make sure you are using the correct push service.

And... what is this push image you are talking about?

You can find your API on the Settings page, if you are using Notifo.
