      Since the release of LazyBoxer I've had a many people approach me asking for a "cut down version but keep key features" so they can use it as an alternative to LazyRaider and Tyrael. Personally I've used LazyBoxer for raiding and its done the job perfectly fine. Admittedly there is quite a bit of overhead that is not necessary when used as a raid bot.

      Here are some of the suggestions so far:

      "... I want to follow the tank or healer but I don't want all the other stuff"
      "... just keep looting, assist leader, follow leader ..."
      "... can you make this a RaidBot, keep targeting, movement, looting, following and strip off the rest"
      "... all I want to do is assist and follow my main, maybe looting too."

      So my question to you guys is do we need yet ANOTHER botbase to fill the role of raid bot? This would only include the most basic features, of cause, as usual all options are configurable:
      * Follow a leader, or not.
      * Movement, or not.
      * Targeting, or not.
      * Looting, or not.
      * Suitable for use with all combat routines of cause.
      * Can be used for raiding, general combat, slave following you and looting while you do a clear of Naxx, MC, BWL etc.

      To assuage any concerns about taking time away from development on Farmer Joe, making this cut down build would only take a few hours to rip out the most basic features of LazyBoxer and throw it into a new botbase.

      I for one think that the more options we have the better. The only thing I would like to see is the return of in combat moving for those of us who can take advantage of it. (In arena and what not)

      Thanks

      What do you mean combat moving for arenas?

      I think he means Combat follow fpsware.

      I would like to second that. If the only reason combat follow was disabled was confusion...I'd like to see it come back. It would help simplify moving out of the fire (without resorting to keyclone out another such app).

      But you brought up a good question. Do we really need another bot base?

      With the same time and amount of work can you plug these options into enhancing lazyboxer?

      I'm not talking about adding new features to LazyBoxer I'm talking about pulling features OUT of LazyBoxer and creating a cut down, streamlined botbase with only a FEW basic features from LazyBoxer.

      I guess when I read your post I was thinking of features that overlap - how similar they would be. Cut down. Streamlined. Ok.

      This feature is available in LazyBoxer.

      I use it all the time when I want my DPS to focus on a specific target but I want my tank to run around picking up mobs.

      Yeah. That's one of the problems with including a lot of options, people tend to over look what they don't have an immediate need for.

      No m8, don't be like that! You gave me the option to pick Farmer Joe above this! Just showing my love towards that project. I'm even coding movement in my CC just for farmer joe!

      Ah I get you now :)

      What movement logic are you adding to your CC?

      I don't really understand why "less overhead" is needed? For people who can't figure out the options?
      I currently use this in pvp mostly as an alternative to tyrael, probably not the best usage for it, but I've never had any problems.

      I guess my conclusion is why waste time when everyone obviously needs a safer version of GB2, such as Farmer Joe? Why make a special simplified version? It's not like it slows the performance down at all?

      I would help you test it, I am a fan of your work. I'll PM you my Skype.

      LazyBoxer was ORIGINALLY written as an alternative to LazyRaider, Tyrael, RaidBot, CombatBot but it evolved into what you see now, a fully featured RAF tool. True it still can be used as a replacement for the raid bot but I guess there are only a few people doing this.

      The idea behind LazyBoxer SL is that is the only purpose for the botbase and the only options available are for that specific job. As for performance, its likely to be a few milliseconds more responsive.

      As of this moment LazyBoxer SL is virtually complete. There is almost no work required as almost all of the code was a simple cut'n'paste from LazyBoxer. I think I've spent around 4.5 hours on it to this point.
