Started at level 46 and just hit 71. 4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Default Shadow Priest 5)What plugins are you using?: Default 6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 8-10 Questing(while typing in guild and whispers). 1-2 Gatherbuddy per week. 6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 95% questing. 100% gathering. 7)How many auctions per day did you have?: I use an addon so it limits how many auctions I can put in per time to 40. 8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No. 9)Was your account involved in gold selling? No. 10)EU or US realm? US. 11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Paid. Temporarily Suspended, kind of fearing if they actually go into a ban. However I've never been warned or suspended before so how screwed am I? Also what generally happens once you finally get caught?
Just heard back on the ticket I made. It's just a 72 hour ban THANK GOD. However when could I possibly get back to botting? It's not something I'm considering doing again for awhile but what are my chances getting caught a second time.
all automated bans from player reports, they then release all the bans in one go, known method to scare botters into not botting. very effective method, proven to work.
You would be smart to not bot for awhile. If you decide to take that kind of dumb risk I would suggest you 1) Don't let it run AFK. 2) Don't bot the same areas/resources. Obviously if that isn't your main account then do w/e you want. Just my suggestion.
It's my main and only account. I wasn't going to bot for quite some time over fear of losing it. However I was just wondering how these kind of things go down usually as I've never been banned for anything ever..
Your Ban was rather from to many auctions/player reports or a mix of both. Blizz will normally overturn those into temp bans 99% of the time, the first time. The only time they don't overturn them is if you got caught by a GM botting. It's also common for GMs to watch you over a couple days prior to banning.Also you can bot now. Just be smart. Don't bot all day in the same area for resources all the time. Normal people also don't put 100+ auctions up EVERYDAY. That shit isn't normal. Also don't put up JUST ore/herbs.. Smelt the ore into bars.. Make potions/inks etc. It's pretty obvious to players when they go to buy resources and they see 2-5 pages of shit from the same dude ALL the time. Regardless, good luck!
