Mounting Problem

Hello,

Sorry if I need to attach a log or something, please let me know what is needed an I will happily do so but my bot, after the recent updates, just stopped mounting. Nothing I do will make it mount other than manually stopping the bot and pushing the mount button. I have tried some of the other solutions on here (I am reasonably technical having been an IT infrastructure architect for over 20 years sadly so feel free to assume I've tried some of the obvious things) such as turning on and off automatically (although that option - "Automatic", next to "Random" has now disappeared from the settings window where it used to be), random etc - but no amount of twiddling any settings will change it - he simply runs everywhere now. This happens on both my druid using Superbad CC and my new DK using the paid for Tuan routine.

Any thoughts please?

Have a problem aswell with mounting, when doing archeology it sometimes choses a ground mount which will suck running through the whole content, any suggestions how to fix so he just use flying mount?

 

click "Settings and Tools" and under the mounts section, turn off Random, and Automatically. after that type in the NAMES of the mounts you want to use in the boxes. try and stay away from rare or hard to get mounts. then try it again.
if it fails then please upload a new log as an attachment so we can see whats going on.

OK. Did that previously but, for the sake of completeness, did it again - still no joy, updated log attached. View attachment 3244 2013-09-06 19.58.txt .

Please note, the "Automatic" option is no longer there, as per my first post. Older versions had that option to tick the box, now there's just "Random" with no option to choose, or unchoose, Automatic on the current version of HB.


Occasionally I see some text come up in the running log saying something about "MountHook:Insert was requested but was already present - zxbca", no idea if this helps, thought I'd mention it.

Finally, if I log in with a completely different WOW account and use a completely different character, but with the same install version of HB, mounting works - so the issue appears to either be tied to DK's and Druids (Monk on alt account works for example) - or - tied to a WOW account.

 

download the latest version of honorbuddy from here.

after that do a CLEAN Install into a new folder, do not re-install to an previous installation and do not copy over any plugins, combat routines or quest behaviors into this new installation.

for the mount names type them in and type in correct mount names for both FLYING and GROUND mounts. do not put a flying mount as your ground mount.

Already done, several times, did nothing I'm afraid - it was one of the first things I tried (new log attached). As explained in the first post, I've read the forums where other people have been having exactly the same problem - I've tried the obvious things guys....

This is getting quite frustrating now.

 

we need to go though all the possibility before we can move on to more technical stuff.

did you actually do what i asked? if not please ACTUALLY do it. there's a reason im asking you to do what needs to be done, what you've done before under non-controlled conditions is completely irrelevant. now after that please upload a new log so we can get an updated look at whats happening.

 

any updates please?

 

im waiting on you, to do the clean install, and set your mount options correctly. then if its still failing to post a log.

Also, please keep the answers in the forum polite, there's really no need to be quite so aggressive by using caps and being abrupt. I have a problem, I'm asking for help and I'm doing everything you ask

 

Tony, you asked me to do that on a previous post in this thread, which I did, and posted a log when it didn't work. That doesn't work I'm afraid, I'm still stuck without any mounting support.

Any further thoughts please? Forgive me but it does appear like we're going around in circles here with the standard things being suggested over and over. Chaps, I have done those things, they are not working

 

Understood well you have more important things on your hands right now than my mounting issue - with 5.4, fair enough. I will retry after the new version of HB is released and re-post if there continues to be a problem.
