Comes with HB. No profile is needed, just pick up archaeology from a trainer before you start. Having flying is recommended just because its a lot faster. Never tried to use arch with flight points, I guess it works.
Anyone have problems with Nazjivel digsite after 5.4? my bot start digsite and resets it on second spot, it happens 100% time
Anyone have throughts on using this bot to get Crawling Claw from Tol'Vir? I assume if I just run Arch Bot in that continent it will eventually get it right? I have the other two tol'vir rares and I am at 600. thanks
To put the claw into perspective, it takes between 1 and 300 solves. A solve usually takes 20 to 120 minutes, depending on how random the dig site distance and frequency is. The key, as it were, is to increase the number of tolvir sites. The easy way is to simply, keep going until you've farmed every other rare for every other faction, and the random dig sites will eventually reduce to just those sites which you need. After months. Or years. Literally years. Which is why the crate exchange for mantid works well. The MASL, now patched, gives a boost to discovery speed, but, compared to the old method, it takes 3x longer to manage the crate exchange, I.e. When the sonic locator reset CRZ and local sites, you could get 3-4 tolvir solves an hour. Or, you could get 5-6 mantid crates, in 2 hours. Probably more. That's 2 generic tolvir solves, in 2 hours, give or take the 10-14 mantid areas that might offer pristine items. /shrug.
not sure what you mean by Mantid Exchange, so you turn in the artifacts for crates that have Tol'vir artifacts? if so then I get it, if not then I am lost
Question: is it possible to combine ArchaeologyBuddy and a mining script/path so that I stop and mine resources between sites?
(if any of these numbers seem wrong, let me know, i will edit them. it's mostly from my memory of how long each task takes, it's probably way off) Crated Artifacts: 35-45 mantid fragments = 1 solved artifact = 1 crated artifact = 7 tolvir fragments. my approximation of the mantid collection speed is maybe ... 7 minutes from site collection + movement to the new site + combat with mobs in the area (especially dread wastes, or klaxxi areas) so you can crate a mantid item in 21 minutes or so. an average of 5 crated artifacts will solve 1 tol'vir artifact, which may take under 2 hours. Time: if you can move and loot 30 sites in 2 hours, you can collect 200~280 fragments, and convert the solved items to 9 crates. but your speed may vary. the key is to get a count of how many solved artifacts as crates, in a 2 hour stretch. Using, and buying the MASL doubles the return rate, as it doubles the number of farmable zones in one area. if it takes 15 mantid sites, or 25 mantid sites to get 5 crates, then, again, the question is how long does it take to get the 5 crates, to get a tolvir solve ? what would be the minimum time it has ever taken to get 5 crates. use that as a baseline, for 1 tol'vir solve. I assume it takes in the region of 8 mantid areas in an hour, with killing adds and other things. You can probably get 9 to 10 crates in 2 hours just cycling mantid solves and the 2 spare crates for the artifact hunter kit, with the MASL, and lorewalker map, that will reset locations every so often. but you may only be getting 4 sites per hour, up to 12 per hour, depending on the zone and the luck/RNG of the day. The Old System: prior to MoP, The tol'vir appearance rate is normally 1 site every hour, and you used to get upwards of 10 sites/hour with the MASL and the old exploit. which meant more than 3 or 4 tolvir items an hour, instead of 1 every 40 minutes (give or take) there's a lot to be said about the advantage of using the 24 hour long exploit / quirk of the old MASL, it was, between 2x to 3x faster than the original mantid solves, because of the extra time and distance of travel needed to reset the tol'vir sites and deal with the CRZ pauses. you could collect in the region of 100 fragments an hour or so. which is 3 solves. of course, this is all from memory and napkin math, and it doesn't account for the key's/tolvir hieroglyphic that drops along the way for reducing the 35+ fragment items back to 40 or so fragments.

I am using this bot ATM and its amazing but i have a question, even though it has yielded many of achievements, will it complete every and all of the achievements in the game to date?
Hey, got a lil problem here since the last big release of HB. I am running ~10 Bots - all ArchaeologyBuddy and some of them like it to die in "The great Sea" seperating the 2 classic continents Kalimdor / Eastern Kingdom. My bots all do their job on Kalimdor. The problem is: The toon selects the "Ruins of Arkkoran" Disgsite which is on Azshara very east - when he flies to this spot OR back from this spot (i dont know exactly) he dies in The great Sea. After he died he runs back to corpse over and over again and dies over and over again. View attachment 108786 --- Another problem is an older one: Toon does AB job in Uldum Toons is in Chamber of the Sun @ Obelisk of the Sun - Toon flies there at the spiral stairs and cant fly back to the earth's surface. It is not a stuck for HB so stuck handler does nothing... i dont know... the toon flies from A to B back to A... to B -> No "Oh hey! where i am? Im in subsurface! Lets get out of here" This happened before and after this new release No Log here - happens now and then and the toon cants just navigate back to earth surface. Greetings

Anyone having problems with the bot first surveying at digsite properly, and after digging for some time, it just starts flying towards nothing (No digsite, nothing) it either flies for 1-2min and starts to fly the earlier digsite, or it goes to ground, tries to dig (Can't do that here, cos no digsite) and then flies back. Repeats that. Since new HB update, when bot flies over north barrens, he always starts fighting the kor'kron mobs. And since he is underleveled compared to him, dies all the time.
Mine just bolted after doing 3 or 4 out of 6. It did all of them at the next one. /shrug Edit Run the bot a bit more now, and it randomly does this anywhere from one to five finds. Also has a huge issue with flying mount ground humping. Will have to post a log later, but it seems like it's usually stuck at loading tiles or actually trying to unstuck before it starts happening. The leaving active sites thing that is.
