It could be to do with your stats... i think affliction only becomes viable at certain levels of haste... for instance, I am lvl521 but my gear i have little haste/mastery gear and a lot of crit gear, therefore i have to play destro until I obtain some different gear... not saying this is your problem, but it could be...

 

When i was using the routine it was having trouble with AoE in that it was casting and cancelling fire & brimstone constantly even with full embers and as such was not really doing muh AoE damage, although hopefully this is sorted out

 

Raphus is still working on it. He has a release candidate now, but found more bugs which delayed it.

I've gone from 57k to 110k with aff on the RC version. It still needs tuning though.

Yeah that's all probably because of the HB issues. Sounds like it.

Need to test later before putting on the SVN, but I've made these changes today. Anyone else got any input/comments on Affliction and Soul Swapping?

- Diminishing Returns tracker is now working correctly.
- [Affliction] Will now only Soul Swap: Inhale on units where all DoTs have >= 4s remaining. Duration is now prioritised over power.
- [Affliction] If enough shards, will now cast Soulburn -> Soul Swap -> Soulburn -> Soul Swap in the opening sequence, as per the Icy Veins guide. This gives our DoTs a higher duration before using Soul Swap: Inhale / Exhale to move them around.
- [Affliction] High AoE priority is now: SB+SoC -> Soul Swapping -> SoC Spam. Default AoE value changed to 5 (from 4).

 

Hey millz I'm having problems with Destro where it tries to cast immolate while moving, not sure if you haven't had time to implement the KJC changes or not

 

Hmm, shouldn't be unless the spell id has updated or something - I've made the changes already for KJC. Can you post a log file please?

 

Nvm I'm retard updated from svn and now it's working.

 

Its only dotting 1 target for me even with aoe enabled

 

Actually nevermind went in to a flex and it got stuck trying to spam immolate while moving.

im not sure if somebody has reported it till now but when in questing mode no metamorphosis is used - bug or a feature xD

also happens that voidwalker is not ressurected before next fight...

 

Destruction is working perfect mate!

Affliction has a few kinks, I made a log for you to check out.

This was on the 4 dummies in the shrine. 230k burst down to 170k sustained in the end.

The multi dotting isn't hitting all the hostile mobs, I haven't seen soul swap as of yet but I may have missed it.

The biggest dps issue I see if the lack of Haunt, it uses all the shards for dots and then MFG and most of the time it gets a new shard applies dots again even when Haunt procs.

Most of the bugs in the past few posts appear to be related to the HB issues - i.e. no metamorphosis because it can't detect corruption on target.. spamming immolate because it thinks it hasn't landed yet... not multi-dotting because it's trying to dot up current target.

Need to wait for the fixed client to be pushed publicly before starting to iron out the bugs.

It probably can but you wouldnt want it to, because pets dont receive the gift of the giants buff else you'd be giving everyone pride

 

Is it normal for a Destruction Warlock in PvP using BGBuddy to want to stay in melee range at the cost of not casting? Mine tried to stay in melee range with a Rogue, is this just something the free version does? Because I wanted to test this before maybe buying the premium.
