[PAID] [Warlock] Demonic - An Advanced Honorbuddy Warlock Routine [PvE/PvP]

were you using the routine or doing it by hand?

 

I used Revision 102 Premium Demonic with PVE/Raid Settings and Tyrael + Framelock ON ( 60 Ticks )

 

what was your dps? i know the dummy isnt a very good way to test dps, but i was only getting maybe 140k burst single target as affliction and i have those exact stats, 2 rppms trinkets and meta and 100k single target after 15 million

 

my dps was average between 130k-150k ( only bossfights / no trash ) with a equipped ilvl of 536 ( no legendary cloak or meta ) ( t15 2er set-boni )

If someone wants I can write about tomorrow like a more detailed summary of all important data and post it here to cover all the issues and possibly comparatively and improvement orientations to provide disposal

 

i mean 5.4 Affliction Guide - Sparkuggz is a pretty good place to start im not sure how far off the demonic rotation is compared to sparkuggz

 

Hey Millz, could you give us an option for using moltencore proccs during meta? Because it should be only used without meta if you build up demonicfury to slow

edit: and meta during trinketproccs would be cool, too

My lock is primarily geared for Destruction (high crit and hit, etc), so I decided to go with my off spec of Affliction this patch. So, since I had no Affliction gear (haste/mastery, etc) I decided to do some LFRs for gear, and use some pieces from Timeless Isle, to start building a set. Maybe I just don't have the right talents chosen, but as of right now I'm reforged/enchanted (cheap enchants suggested by AMR)/gemmed for Affliction. I use your raid presets. My DPS was quite low. I was running about 56-60k DPS with iL484 (equipped). Is this normal? I'll post up a masked armory. Just keep in mind I'm still geared mainly for Destruction, I'm sure.

I know gear is an issue right now, since I'm not anywhere near the 9k+ haste breakpoint, and I'm not using top-of-the-line enchants. I don't have an epic meta. I'm missing BiS trinkets and all that. I was just wondering if my DPS should be that low in what I'm in right now.

 

I'd be careful posting masked armories, they are not safe at all.

 

Sounds like HB isn't detecting the Molten Core proc fast enough. Used to work so not sure what's going on there. Will need to look into it.

Soul Fire is cancelled when cast time remaining is over 2 seconds - I can reduce this down, but would need to account for someone who has low haste too - that or try to work out the haste calculation to decide if it's a long cast or not - not sure how you'd do that though.

Demonic is pretty much doing that. Demonic has a better AoE rotation though.

That's how PreCombatBuffBehavior works, you need to have a target before it starts to buff. I've done all sorts to try and get around this, but there's no easy solution it seems.

You need better gear to really see the benefits from affliction. Destro is pretty friendly towards lower ilvl gear, whereas affliction and demonology aren't.

The best thing I can suggest is to start focusing getting gear aimed towards Affliction from the new raids.



Unrelated - Just been shown this result using Demonic (Destro);

 

How do you check for Focus Target Fear DR's? Are you able to make it only Fear on Full Fear times instead of fear then fear again for half the DR times? Would be better in my mind if you have both your target being feared as well as focused target so you can actually have some DPS output. (A lot of times I don't see it working at all and it just keeps fearing until target is immune.)


Also I don't believe an Affliction Lock should be dotting pets in PVP.

 

u can come to Proving Grounds (scaling to 463 ilvl) and reforge to crit/mastery and then see cast time. But would be really better if you can find solution with molten core procs detection. if this would be ok - CR wouldn't cast fake soulfire with any haste. Thanks!

 

Hey folks i raid Demonology and while i doubt i'll find anything as good as playing by hand what im looking for is the next best thing + ease of use

Rotational Questions:
1) Will this detect the 2 piece T15, and optimize Soulfires in meta form for the dmg boost?(and to the person who was saying cast it in meta always thats very wrong, it changed based on gear 2pc t15 use it in doom t16 u wanna weave them as normal for buff uptime)
2) will this detect lei shen and change rotation based on trinket proc to maintain doom 100% crit?
3) does it have a Sac pet rotation for demonology (540+ ilvl)
4) will this use the proper opener for lei shen trinket+t15?(you tube if not aware)

the only 2 that i actually use as pets in raids would be
wrathstorm
optical blast
neither of which ever get cast when in a raid environment for some reason. ive doublechecked the settings and it looks like the option is turned on to auto cast these always, just never happens
other than this one small issue i love Demonic. makes my life so much easier.

on a side note though. you had mentioned a while back that you set up the dot tracking similar to the addon Affdots correct? what % threashold did you use to override current dot with stronger dot? (eg Doom specifically since im playing around with Demo atm)

 

It certainly shouldn't be fearing someone that's immune. I can add an option to only fear for full durations, or fear for half durations.

Maybe want to avoid pets in battlegrounds, but in an arena you want to DoT everything.

Yeah I'll need to test that out when I'm actually in game. Can't tweak stuff like that when I'm at work and can't test.

1) Soul Fire only casts out of meta form to build fury at the moment. I'll be adding an option for this though.

2) Yes, it maintains 100% crit with Lei Shen trinket.

4) Yes, it'll try to get a double 100% crit proc on the target as soon as it can.

 

Yeah I would like to see that for RBGs.

Also it shouldn't fear blade storming warriors

 

1) Make sure you've got Command Demon enabled - it definitely works. Only silences if the unit can actually be interrupted though - so as to not waste it. If the game/API is returning the wrong values then it won't cast. Wrathstorm should just cast once the pet is within range of the target.

2) Doesn't work on a % threshold. If current stats are higher than the one the dot was applied at, and you aren't going to loose any duration from Pandemic, then it'll refresh them. Otherwise it refreshes just before they're about to drop. The one exception is Doom - where it attempts to keep a 100% crit version up at all times if you have the Lei Shen trinket. It'll refresh when you have 100% crit regardless of duration left. Uhh.. actually that applies to Soulburn + Soul Swap too.
