Question Raphus. How can we tell if the beta ver is actually newer than the release when they are close together like now?

Honorbuddy v2.5.7684.656 is current release
HonorbuddyBETA 2.5.7684.335 is current beta

So based on numbers alone release looks newer. Having some stuck issues so I like to try the beta when they get updated.

thats what the first post in this topic implies.

2 is major version
5 is patch version
7684 is build
656 I believe is "branch" build, 6xx is releases and 3xx is betas

You should look on build version all of the time. Not branch builds.

 

Now time to get prepped for the patch!

 

Death release is not working with this beta as well.. so far no working version works for release after death. what gives ?

 

yeahh big problem .... and it seems the devteam is not able to solve a simple problem like that

 

It's probably because they can't reproduce the issue. I am leveling 3 toons on the beta and the release and I have yet to not rez after death? So I'm sure it's not going to be easy to reproduce.

 

had same problem found out it is any other cc other then Singular all others are have dr problems
i started to use just Singular and have had no problems

 

Except you are using an very ordinary CR now instead of a decent one.

beta crashes

Am Having Issues with the new Beta.. It is crashing out before it even gets into the program...tried fresh install and everything.. was working fine with the beta from last night..

Says that Honorbuddy.MainWindow threw an exception sorry i cant be more elaborate but it wont let me get the logs from it

Anybody else having the same issue?

I just attemted to load the beta and got an error message from my antivirus which blocked the update. Avast free blocked GreyMagic.dll with status of Threat: Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] is this part of the update and if it is how do i get it thru my antivirus.

 

Avast also informs you that your grandma is an alien.

AV is a disease itself... just search "avast antivirus problems" with a search engine of your choice and get rid of this crap asap.

That was one of the most ignorant statements I seen. I am not a fanboy of avast, but MOST antivirusprograms pick up things like this as a virus. Most AV programs pick up gametrainers, keygens as well as the new dll. It has to do with injecting data to memory and as many viruses do this of course it will be picked up as one. That is called HEURISTIC scanning. Most AV's allow you to add exeptions. Instead of stating it is crap (wich it aint, actually awardwinning and one of the best AV's for free) you could rather post like this: How to make exception for folders/files in Avast Antivirus Avast Internet Security - Create an exclusion and what is a false positive virus How Do You Know If Your Download Really Has a Virus? You can also lower the detection (if I am not wrong) in Avast from heurestic to a lower setting wich should partially help abit regarding this. I suggest leave it strongest and instead make exeptions. I never had ANY issue with Avast while doing this. remember..., problems with software is USUALLY caused by the user itself beeing ignorant and leaving stuff defaulted. You actually have to use SETTINGS to suit your needs.
