Check to make sure GreyMagic.dll is in your HB main folder. If it isn't then it may be your AV blocking or deleting the file when you installed.

Well it seems loads of people have this problem... No antivirus here, updated c++/.net - nothing helps.

Hey guys, just an FYI, I have been trying to get HB to work for the past 3 hours. I am also having the same exact problems as listed here. I have tried every offered suggestion multiple times. I completely deleted my AV (have since re-installed :) ) and every time I get the HB Main Window error.

I quoted Hawker's last post because I was going to post to ask if another HB release could be expected due to these problems and his post answered that. However, I wanted to inform you that I was also having the problem.

I appreciate HB and all the strenuous work that goes on by the developers! I shall continue to remain patient and check in later. Hell, maybe I will get some work done in the meantime.

      Thanks everyone!

just an fyi, one of the support staff was on my cpu with teamviewer for a few hours and they figured it out, its a dependency issue with direct x, because i have win vista, i cant get direct x 11, thats what the issue is. so anybody with win vista and lower gotta wait for a new release of hb, everyone with win 7 and higher make sure u got direct x 11.

download the latest version of honorbuddy from here.
      http://updates.buddyauth.com/GetNewest?filter=Honorbuddy

after that do a CLEAN Install into a new folder, do not re-install to an previous installation and do not copy over any plugins, combat routines or quest behaviors into this new installation.
