Permanently banned 27/09/13

I got banned today for abuse of the economy. So I'm a little confused, because I never sold my gold to anyone. I never bought gold. I never sold my stuff on the AH, it was for my own use only.
Any advice how i might get my account back?

never admit your were botting, never ever. If you do that, your account is gone.

Can u share the ban email, what kind of ban you have received?

 

0 ppl targeted me.
My bot was running 30 minutes as i got banned.
They didn't ban my account for botting, they banned my account for selling gold/items for ???.
But I never sold my gold...
So i will appeal it and ask for unbanning my account, right?

I'm from Austria, so I have to translate the email:

The account was closed because one or more characters have been demonstrated in this account of the trade or involvement in the trade of virtual game content (items and / or gold) for money in the "real world." This trade represents a violation of the terms of use and has a negative impact on the economy of in-game World of Warcraft.

 

i used V P N. but i did so since years. why do u ask?

 

because it looks automatic, you've only just join and the only thing that would cause such a ban which involves gold selling is masking your IP address with a V P N as those are used by chinese gold sellers.

 

abuse of economy is just standard form email. that's the term they've always used for botting till about a year ago when they added more email specifying hacks or 3rd party programs.

you got banned for flying around with gatherbuddy, just like everyone else. GB2 is unusable unless you literally use it like 1 hour max per day.

just open a ticket saying you dont know why you got banned, they often reverse 1st time bans

 

If its your first ban its usually kinda easy transform it on 72h ban, but than others say, GB for now its a huge risk, I remember on summer of 2011 I use GB for entire days without any problems, but now the things are different, they have less people on the game, and they dont want lost more, for that attacks vs bots its hard, just find another way to make gold, like solo rush of some 70-80 instances, grinding etc ... just my advice.

 

It was my 2nd ban. My first ban was in 2010. I have botted 20h/7d at that time for months.
Got unbanned a few minutes ago. Appealed everything.

I got banned for the same reason (and I thought it was because I bought few prepaids with gold) , and I quit wow for around 6 months then I came back applead and got instand unban saying pretty much "wtf happened with my account"


so u should do the same, just open a ticket u don't have to wait for 6 months
